Fifty-three: Chaos

It was a bright Monday morning for Amelia as she prepared to leave for work with Ryan, after putting all the events of the weekend behind her. The previous night, she had an argument with Ryan, concerning attending Lara’s party but after much persuasion from him and explaining why he needed to be there, Amelia had let him go, telling herself that he might be spending a few hours with Lara but at the end of the night, he was coming home to her. As petty as that sounded, it made her feel better and she even stayed up to wait for him. He was surprised to see her awake when he returned from the party.

Amelia hummed to a familiar tone as she walked into the kitchen, all dressed for work to see Dora dressed for school, settled in Ryan’s legs while having her cereal. Ryan on the other hand was sipping from his hot coffee.
