Eighty-four: Deceit 5

It took a while for Amelia to finally calm down and she finally stopped sobbing. She let out a deep sigh, feeling more empty than she’d felt before but warmth spread through her from the knowledge that she was in Ryan’s arms and he believed her over the lies that the media were already spreading about her.

“Is this not going to be another negative hit on your reputation? You’ve had quite a rough couple of months and this shouldn’t be happening,” she murmured, raising her head from his chest to stare into his worried eyes.

A smile ghosted over Ryan’s face and he cupped her cheeks, leaning into her and kissing her softly on the lips. He rested his head on her forehead.

“I don’t care about all of that, Princess. It doesn’t bother me but if you want me to, I can take care of it for you and get them to take off the fake news,”

Amelia shook her head in refusal.

“It wouldn’t be necessary. It’s all over the place already and it could cause a bigger scandal. I’m sorry I unknowingly dragged

I'm loving the storyline, but minor detail annoys me. For example, sharing the same father but different mother's is half siblings not step siblings.
