Chapter 44: Honesty

“Keep looking, come on,” I pretended I was fine.

Coco frowned, she leaned lazily on the bookshelf, “Come on. We can keep looking tomorrow.”

I didn't know how to handle that confidential document yet, so I couldn't let anyone discover my secrets, including Coco. So I stopped her from coming to my library the next day.

Then, while we were looking for the material that she needed, I supervised her so that she didn't get a chance to get close to my desk.

When Coco left, I thought about how to deal with confidential documents. In two days, I would have to submit to Ivor the list of mistresses that he had. I couldn't file a confidential document.

The best way was to tell Ivor that I got the wrong document. But did he suspect me that the girl had a one-night stand with him?

If I had thought rationally, I would have realized that the chances of me being discovered were not high, but I was worried. I had to take sleeping pills so I could sleep that night.
