Nate lost track of time as he typed away at his computer. He considered showing up at the office for an hour or two but he wasn’t feeling it. He had stayed away from work for a long time and he needed to return. He now enjoyed working at home and had a couple of files piled up on his table at his den. Whenever he wasn’t with Ruby or she went out, he worked on the files.

The test results for the contaminated maple syrup had just come in and it was confirmed that some contaminants were added to a particular batch of maple syrup being produced. When he heard his maple syrup tastes bad at first, he was confused. The syrups had high shelf life and they were made with caution.

He had to devise a plan to get whoever contaminated the syrup. He knew the person couldn’t do it alone and probably needed more hands. Now that everyone at the factory knew Nate ran tests on the syrup, they were going to lie low. The syrup wouldn’t be contaminated for a while.
