A wide smile played on Ruby’s lips as she yawned and stretched. She had fallen asleep on the couch with Nate by her side. It felt like the best sleep she had gotten in weeks. With Nate staying up all night and working endlessly, she felt lonely and always had to force herself to sleep.

She placed a kiss on his forehead and watched him sleep for a bit, he looked so peaceful in his sleep.

She envied his beautiful lashes, she wished she had them, maybe she won’t have to apply layers and layers of mascara in highschool.

She moved to the bedroom and changed her clothes. To make up for causing him so much pain the previous day, she decided to make him a scrumptious breakfast and run a bath for him. It was her way of soothing her nerves whenever she felt tense and she hoped it worked for him.
