I knew him by heart

Sarah was busy working her part-time job at a coffee shop. When her clock off-time arrived. She needed to get ready to attend school.

“I’m going,” she said, getting ready to take off from work. When milk called her attention.

“Can you come with me to a concert? My boyfriend stood me up. And I don’t want to go there alone.”

She raised her eyebrows in Milk’s direction.

“Are you seriously asking me to ditch my studies? Just to go to a concert with you?”

“Aw, come on. I don’t have anyone to bring with me. Please?” she begged. “Just this once. I’ll cover for you anytime you want.”

“When is that?” she immediately agreed. Even with money involved, she puts her study first and foremost. Especially now the exams are coming.

“Next week. Our exams are finished by that time. You can come with me, right?”

She let out a shrug.

“Fine. But don’t bother me about anything like this anymore.”

Milk’s head almost fell off with a continuous nodding.

“You won’t regret coming with me, I promise.”
