***Chastity*** With a whimper, I tried to open my eyes. I hurt every where. There wasn’t a part of my body that wasn’t riddled with pain. I couldn’t remember why though. ***Dimitri*** I closed the hospital door with a sigh, and leaned against it for a moment. The warrior Jax had at her door gave me a funny look, but said nothing. Honestly I was thankful Jax thought to do that. While Aurora, and the other 3 females were still locked in the dungeon, Braxton was not. ***Dimitri*** I spent several hours in my office just thinking. Mostly about Chastity. I thought of all the things Aurora told me she had done to the girl. It broke my heart that I had been so blind, and selfish to treat my daughter as I had. Also to allow others to treat her as they had. I was a terrible person, and a terrible father. ***Rowen*** After leaving the living room I wandered around the house for awhile. What a hellish day it has been. Well maybe more to the point, what a hellish week it has been. This time last week I had been so excited to come home. To see my family, and my pack. I thought I’d come home to find everything wonderful, and nothing but joy. ***Chastity*** Yesterday I was finally released from the hospital, after 6 days there. I still hurt, a lot, but Doctor Deb said I was healed enough to go home. She, again gave me care instructions, and food recommendations. I knew not to expect to be able to follow any of it. I did what I could not to get used to the three meals a day I’d been receiving as well. My mattress in the attic wasn’t really supportive enough for healing either. I appreciated her thoughts, but I knew I would be back to work the second I walked back into the house. I had been shocked when Beta Jax, and his mate Molly came to get me from the hospital. I know he’s my brother, but the rest of my family has turned their backs on me, so why he hasn’t is a mystery to me. ***Chastity*** I jolted awake when someone gently shook my shoulder. My eyes shot open to find Molly standing by my bed. She was smiling at me, and pointing at the table next to my bed. I looked over to see a tray there with a glass of water, and a bowl with steam coming out of it. I could smell chicken soup. Slowly I sat up, and Molly moved the tray to my lap. It was indeed chicken soup with a glass of water, crackers, and cut up strawberries. Tentatively I reached for the soup, and took a sip of it. It was very good. I found my self eating everything very quickly. Eating as much I have been for the last few days has caused me to have more of an appetite than I ever remember having. ***Chastity*** Once Naomi was led away, the crowd quieted again. The punishment was deserved, but I hoped that she would be ok.
