***Chastity*** I hadn’t thought I was ready for this, but I now knew I was. I didn’t believe in death like this, but she had done so many things. The biggest being murdering my mom. ***Chastity*** Over the next few days I have fallen into a bit of a routine. Each morning I got up, and made a large breakfast. Alpha Rowen, and Colby usually joined Molly, Beta Jax, and myself for breakfast. Of course they didn’t allow me to do the clean up. I spent the next several hours reading, or enjoying the quiet. Leila had done well to heal the rest of my wounds. I would have a quiet lunch by myself. In the afternoon I spent time at the pack hospital, sitting with those that are there, or talking to the nurses and doctors., as well as visiting Braxton a few times. Dinner was spent with at least Molly then I was off to bed. It’s during the hours alone in my bed that I remember. I remember my past. I remember the last 18 years of my life. I have started having nightmares. In those nightmares Aurora came to drag me out of bed, and into the dungeon. There I am beaten, and whipped by everyone in my life. I am screamed at. ***Chastity*** When I reached Braxton’s cell, the first thing I noticed was he looked terrible. His hair was greasy, he was pale, and he looked like he had lost weight. My heart went out to him. This had to be so hard for him. He was just a pup. He shouldn’t be stuck down here. At the same time, I understood why he was. “I’m not up for visitors.” I heard Braxton say from his position with his head in his lap. “I understand that, but I also brought you some things.” I called out quietly. “What?” he asked as he raised his head. “Blueberry filled croissants, bacon, clean clothes, and your school stuff. ***Chastity*** I stood back from Alpha Joseph as he approached Fiona’s cell. I noticed she looked haggard, and dirty, as she was curled up on her cot, with her back facing me.. It was obvious no body brought her clean clothes either. While my heart went out to her, I couldn’t bring myself to be as concerned about her as I had been Braxton. Their behavior toward me over the years had been completely different, and I couldn’t see her the same way I had Braxton. “Hello Fiona.” Alpha Joseph said. “Hello Alpha Joseph.” Fiona responded as she rolled over to face us, and got up off her cot. “How are you doing down here?” He asked. “Well I’m stuck in a cube, in dirty clothes. It’s cold, smells funny, and I only get two hours a day to exercise, outside of here. ***Chastity*** I followed Alpha Joseph through the empty kitchen, clearing my mind of what had just happened with Fiona. I hadn’t expected him to ask me to make the decision concerning her, but I found that I was thankful that he did. I am glad I got to make that choice. It felt right to me. “I’m proud of you Chastity?” Alpha Joseph said suddenly. “Sir?” I asked. “You read the situations with Braxton, and Fiona very well. You considered their situations thoroughly, and handled each with grace, and poise. You didn’t let their past actions cloud your judgement. I’m particularly impressed with how you handled Braxton. ***Chastity*** I looked around the room shocked to see so many people. I had expected to see Alpha Joseph in the meeting, and maybe Beta Dimitri, along with Gamma Peter. It seemed I underestimated this by a lot. Along with those 3, Alpha Rowen, Beta Jax, Molly, Gamma Ross, Naomi, and even Gina were in this meeting. I couldn’t help the slight tremble I was experiencing at the sight of Gina, and Naomi. I hoped they wouldn’t say or do anything to hurt me during this. There was also an older couple standing in the corner, looking very upset. I hadn’t moved from my place by the door as I had looked around the room. I was wide eyed, and could not stop the trembles I was experiencing. I was more afraid than I thought I should be at this point. After a few minutes of me just standing there, Alpha Rowen moved to me, looking concerned. ***Rowen**** I watched as Chastity went to her bedroom, and shut the door. I wanted to follow her, to hold her, but something told me she needed some space to process what had just happened. I really wanted to let her know she wasn’t alone in this. I wanted her to know she was loved, and cared for. In such a short time I have definitely fallen in love with her. She is beautiful inside, and out. Her kindness is beyond compare. Learning of her intelligence is beyond compare. The things she accomplished in school while living in hell was nothing short of amazing. It also showed her determination to achieve her dreams. I had no doubt she would do well in nursing school, even though I didn’t want to let her go. She is also stronger than anyone I have ever met. She survived hell, and seems to be on the mend. ***Chastity*** As soon as the door closed behind Alpha Rowen I breathed a sigh of relief. I don’t know why I had been so nervous around him this evening. Well maybe I did. He had been more affectionate, and sweet to me than he has ever been. Leila loved it, and it made her purr, but it scared me.
