ALICE

I went back to the party with one goal in mind. The last grab at a future. At happiness and all I needed to get it done was one bottle of champagne and two flutes. When I returned to the auditorium, half of the crowd has disappeared. Probably doing goddess knew what but that was good. An even better turn of events was that my parents and Declan's were no longer in their seats. I waited for the Omega girl to arrive before putting my plan into motion. We walked together. My stride was a little faster as was planned so I got to the table first. As fate would have it, the Crow couple weren't on seats too. My eye caught another blue plate not to far from where they were seated prior.

"Matt," I began, ignoring how lost he looked staring at Eloise. The Aphrodisiac seemed to have already taken effect because Matt looked like he was on cloud nine and maybe considering gobbling Eloise up. "Can we talk?"

"Alice?" He replied. There was no emotion behind his voice. He didn't even look at me.
