Hurt

David stopped the car in front of Maria's house, he went straight upstairs and asked the doctor. “How is she?”

"Maria fell from upstairs, scratched her skin, bruised a few places on her body, nothing to worry about."

At this point he was at ease and told the servants to come down to the living room, he would take care of Maria.

Her head was bandaged, her face pale, her lips white, it hurt him to see. In his heart, he blamed himself, if he hadn't been cold to her when she called, this wouldn't have happened. David felt that he was selfish.

After a while, Maria slowly opened her eyes. “David, is that you?”

“Um.” He quickly grabbed her hand and asked nervously. "Are you ok?"

“I'm fine, just my head hurts a bit. Sorry, I shouldn't have let you worry."

“Why say these words? I should be the one to say sorry. Why did you fall from upstairs?”

She pursed her lips, as if it was difficult to speak, and stammered a reply. “I… I sleepwalked.”

"What? Sleepwalking?"

"Yes! Without you, I'm so scared.
