Alpha Draven POV“Aura!” I yelled. The room smelled like antiseptic and Karn. My mate was handcuffed to the rails, her legs bound wide to the bottom of a hospital bed. Karn’s POV“How can she be gone?” I roared at my warriors. “She was sedated! You’re telling me you can’t keep track of a tiny little SEDATED she-wolf?” How stupid can they be? Alpha Draven POVI smiled as Aura pulled me close, she kissed my lips and I felt like I could soar. I had missed her so much. I held on to her tight as though she may disappear. She snuggled back into me, holding her was heaven. Aura’s POVI felt another pain coming, the doctor was sitting by my feet waiting for the first head of my pups.“Aura, push with this contraction, I will count down. Five, four, three, two, one, push!” he said as I pushed with all of my strength trying to expel my pups from my body.“Almost, I saw the top of a head, one more time, are you ready?” he asked.I didn’t bother to answer, I was so tired. I have to do this twice, I sucked in a breath as another contraction began its climb. I pushed hard this time knowing my wolf was helping as best as she could. This time, I heard a baby cry, it was the most beautiful sound I had ever heard. Tears fell from my eyes, not from the pain, but from the love I felt for this tiny little life.“Congratulations, Luna, and Alpha, you have a son!” the doctor exclaimed as he handed my son to a nurse. The next few days felt like a dream, Ember and Falcon ate and slept but mostly, they stole our hearts. Draven was so careful with them. He was always running about checking on them and me. I didn't know it was possible to love someone so much in such a short amount of time. We were getting ready to leave the pack hospital and return to the safe house. Only a few knew we were heading to a much more secluded place. Now that the twins were here, word of their birth had spread quickly. I knew Draven would keep us safe but the threats against them had already started. The pack war continued meaning we were not safe. "How are you feeling?" Draven's voice interrupted my thoughts. I smiled, "Aura ok," I said. My wolf had healed me from birth soon after I delivered my pups. "I think I have everything packed and ready to go. We will be deep in the forest, there won't be anyone around. Only three others know where we are going," Draven explained. I knew he would do anything to protect us.

Why now? I raced along the path heading to my control center. I was helping Aura with diaper changes when the alarm went off. I knew it wasn't a dire emergency but I had to go. I knew Karn was lurking out there waiting for his moment to strike. I nearly ripped the door off the hinges when I realized I was letting my anger get the best of me. Inside, all eyes were on me.
