Aiden finally opened his eyes and Alpha Velvet sprang up to her feet from the chair she had been sitting on and sat on the bed beside him.

The bed dipped a bit from her weight and Aiden stared at her like he was seeing her for the first time.

He squinted his eyes, a slight frown on his face as he kept looking at her, wondering why her face was the first he was seeing that morning.

Not that he hated it — she had featured in all of his dreams and that could only mean one thing— but he had not been expecting to see her. As he stared into her lovely face, he wondered if he was still dreaming to be seeing her that morning.
