"Where have you been?"

"And why are you sneaking in?"

Calix froze in his track, his brown eyes wide with shock and fear when he heard those questions. He didn't have to turn around to know who they were that were asking him those questions, he could tell from their voices.

He bit his lips hard, cussing under his breath as he stood to full length. He had been crouching, hoping to get into the pack without anyone seeing him but it seemed like luck was against him that evening.

"We are asking you a question. Where have you been and why are you sneaking into the packland like a rat?"

Calix shut his eyes tightly but soon opened them and with a small sigh, he turned around to look at Andrew and Jamal who had their arms folded as they stared at him intently. They were both dressed in their gamma uniform so it was obvious they had just finished training.
