Alyssa glanced at her phone and noticed that she hadn't received any text message from Alex yet. While she was eager to finalize the contract and become the wife of a mafia don, she didn't appreciate wasting her time.
After losing her parents and taking over her father's company, Alyssa developed a strong sense of punctuality. She had always been someone who valued being early and respecting time.
Alyssa hesitated as she reached for her phone, contemplating whether or not to call Alex once again.
Alyssa was concerned about giving off the impression of desperation to Alex. She didn't want him to perceive her as someone who was solely focused on finding a husband quickly before her time in life was up.
Speaking about her death Alyssa had made some rules that she was going to uphold once she signed the contract and also she had made one wish concerning the contract she wanted to sign and that was the only thing she hoped and wished that Mr Mafia would accept.
Alyssa kept checking and checking her phone for the message Alex told her he was going to send but there was no message coming through.
So Alex decided to call and ask if he was going to be free to sign the contract today or not, as she placed the call to him; it said his line was busy so she ended the call and concluded that he was busy so maybe they would be signing up the contract again today.
Alyssa being sick made her have a headache most of the time and when she is stressed out she starts losing balance and finds it difficult to sit still.
That was what was happening to Alyssa at these moments. After dropping the call she started finding it difficult to stand properly so she sat on her bed, placing one hand on her head and the other hand grabbed her bed tight making her head spin. She couldn't control the pain anymore so she started looking for her piles to make her relax.
She saw the drugs in the drawer beside her bed. So as she took it she quickly claimed her bed intending to relax her head a bit before she drifted off to sleep.

Alex couldn't figure out where to meet up with Alyssa so they could sign the contract he thought and thought of a place they could go and just sit and discuss the contract before they signed it. But he couldn't think of anywhere.
Alex didn't want Alyssa to get the impression that he was a nice person, he just wanted her to know how ruthless and cold-blooded a person he was. That was why he didn't want to take her to any restaurant or bar to sign the contract.
After all the consideration he finally decided to hold the meeting with both of them in his house, there was no other perfect place to sign the contract apart from his house since Alyssa would soon be moving in with him after they agreed to the contract and signed.
Alex picked up his phone from the table and texted Alyssa his house address and told her to meet him at his house by 6 p.m. so they could just sign the contract over dinner and get it done with.
After Alex texted her the address he knew he had to print out the agreement and give it to his secret lawyer for accreditation before it was 6 pm. He had lots of things to do but he just wanted to get done with these contracts because of how important it was for him to have a wife now.
Alex was in a situation where he needed a wife quickly because he was about to enter into a significant business deal. However, the investor, Don, had a requirement that he only work with married individuals. Don believed that if someone could successfully manage a family, they would be capable of handling any other aspect of life, including business.
Alex quickly informed his security men both in the office and his house to be on alert in case of his brother's strike. He also informed them about Alyssa's visit but they needed a photo to be sure she wasn't one of Tony's puppets.
Alex had lots of connections and with that, he was able to get a picture of Alyssa where she had received an award for one being of the most hardworking business ladies in town.
He was quite impressed that she was a busy woman but that didn't change the fact that she was on his bad side not his good side.
After he sent her picture to his men, she called a chef, the one that usually prepares meals for him on specific occasions, and told her to prepare a dinner for two for him.
After he was done with that, He went on to continue working in the office as he had lots of work to finish off.
After work, he still had a few hours before the dinner contract night.
He drafted out the agreement and afterward, she printed it out and took it to his lawyer.
Upon getting to the law office his lawyer was not there so he had to wait till the lawyer was around, it took the lawyer a few minutes to arrive.
And it's not like Alex couldn't send someone to come do this work, it's just that he wanted to do anything that had to do with the contract by himself.
"Sorry for wasting your time sir," the lawyer said to Alex as he lowered his gaze from his eyes.
"You know how much I hate it when people waste my time, Mr Lawyer," Alex said coldly, sending shivers down Mr Lawyer's spine.
"Am sorry sir and an emergency came up" The Lawyer said as he got right into work.
After lots of reviews, they finally got a better contract than that which Alex had drafted earlier.
Alex said Goodbye to the Lawyer as he left the lawyer's office and drove straight home hoping everything was in place and Alyssa hadn't gotten to his house.
He had called the chef earlier and asked if she was done with the cooking and she told him she had finished preparing the dinner as he had asked.
Alyssa woke up feeling a tad bit improved after the sudden headache she experienced earlier in the day. Alyssa was uncertain about what to do because she had already woken up, thinking the meeting with Mr. Mafia wouldn't happen again today. As Alyssa grabbed her phone to see the time, she noticed it was already 4:30 in the evening. While checking the time, she received a notification from an unfamiliar number. She felt a bit hesitant but eventually decided to check the message, only to discover it was from Alex. "What the fuck!" Alyssa yelled "Omg, I must have slept so sound that I didn't even hear my phone ring nor hear the message tone sound," Alyssa said as she got up from the bed to go get ready. When Alyssa looked at the timestamp of the message, she discovered it was from three hours ago. She thought to herself that she must have been asleep for about three hours. She quickly went to her wardrobe and opened it. There were a variety of nice clothes but she didn't want to dres
Alex stood up from the dining table as he led the way to the mini office that was in his house. Alyssa followed after him, and as they got to the office room Alex sat on his seat and offered Alyssa a seat. There was a moment of silence between them as Alex brought out the contract files. Both his copy of the file and The one he had made for Alyssa. He handed over to Alyssa her copy of the file as she went through it without any form of distraction. After she was done going through all that was in the contract she started reading it out to Alex like she didn't know what was written on the file already. Effort! I know everything written on that piece of paper and that is not why I gave it to you to read, Alex said coldly, sending shivers down Alyssa's spine. Alex kept on speaking "I gave you to go through the contract and tell me if you are fine with the terms and conditions of the contract and also if there is any reasonable thing you would like to add to the contract" Alyssa sign
Alyssa arrived home late after her daring dinner with Alex. She's feeling uncertain about whether her choice was the right one or not. What she truly desires is to spend her remaining days on earth alongside a charming yet wicked and utterly ruthless Mafia leader in his empire. Alyssa questioned herself, wondering why she would willingly choose to make her life more challenging by staying with Mr. Mafia. As she entered her house, these thoughts occupied her mind. Alyssa let out a deep breath of relief as she settled onto one of the couches in her sitting room. "Hmmm, I hope I can survive these contracts I just signed lord," Alyssa said silently. Knowing how hot and tempting Alex was and could be Alyssa didn't want to bridge the contract after making a mouth about not bridging the contract, Alex without any form of effort already looked good so what would happen when they started Living together after the marriage and she can't control herself, Alyssa thought. As the thought of the
Alyssa woke up feeling refreshed after an exhausting dinner night with Alex. She got up from bed after checking the time and it was already 9 am in the morning, as she checked the time she saw that she had missed a lot of calls from the office and she wasn't ready to speak to anyone at that moment. She just dropped her phone and went to the bathroom. She gracefully took off her clothes and walked into the bathtub to have a relaxing morning bath. She spent a few minutes in the bathtub as she tried not to think about all her worries and just enjoyed the moment she had to herself as she took her bath. After she was done bathing she came out of the bathroom and applied some ointment onto her sink and did her usual routine before she went down to prepare herself breakfast. She took her phone with her down but as she got down the stairs and saw her bag and heels from last night's dinner meeting she remembered that she had told Alex that he should send his wedding plans to her house and
Alyssa picked up her phone as it was ringing continuously, she didn't want to pick up the call because it was from. the office. She knew it was either her aunt was making a scene at the company or a business call and to be honest Alyssa wasn't prepared for any of that kind of drama. All she wanted to place her focus on was her upcoming wedding with Alex even if it was a contract marriage she still wanted to celebrate it in the best way possible. Because if she didn't she would not have any other chance in this life to celebrate again. Alyssa reluctantly picked up the phone from the table as it didn't want to stop ringing and she asked "So what's the problem now?" There was an awkward silence and Alyssa wasn't ready for any joke at that moment. She angrily asked again, "Why do you keep calling me? I told her to let my aunt handle the company." This time she was looking at her phone to check the caller ID, and to her greatest surprise it was from her husband. It was from Alex and s
Alyssa Aunty Judy sat down in Alyssa's office with her daughter Olivia sitting next to her. They had already called for a meeting with all the workers in the company to properly introduce themselves as the new owners of the company. Immediately everyone came into the office, Aunt Judy and Olivia sat upright and they both faced the workers to address them and introduce themselves. "Good day everyone," Anuty Judy said calmly. "Good day everyone," Olivia said after her mum. "Good day ma," all the workers said together "Fine, I know some of you already know what's going on by now and some may not know, but I am here to make it clear to you all" Aunt Judy started. "And I am sure you all have been seeing your boss around the company lately…" Olivia said. "...and that's because she's no longer the boss of the company" Aunt Judy completed Olivia's statement. The workers muttered amongst themselves till Olivia shut them up in a rude way, making them hate her that instant. "I know you
After Mr Black left Alex's office he went back to his work, because he wanted to be done with his work before it became late. As Alex was going through some documents a text message came in, so he picked up his phone to check from whom the message was and to his greatest surprise it was no other person but his soon-to-be wife that sent him a message. Alex looked at his phone as he grinned showing off his white teeth while he relaxed on his office chair as he opened his phone to read her message. "Let's meet up whenever you are free, there are some things I want us to finalize concerning the wedding plans," Alyssa wrote in the text message she sent to Alex as Alex read the message he didn't know when a smile escaped his lips. He was also shocked by his sudden reaction to the message, "What just happened?" He asked himself as he Alex he hardened his expression again. Alex thought for a while before he finally replied to the message. "Am pretty busy now so whatever you would like to
As Alyssa was preparing her lunch she got a message from Alex. At first, she thought he was just going to pick a time for them to meet and hence she was going to meet up with him. But when she picked up her phone to check the message he had sent she couldn't help but gasp in shock. "what! " Alyssa said out of shock. "What does he think of himself?" she laughed in shock as she kept on reading the message. "Me? Looking for a way to talk to him? Oh, he must be joking" Alyssa asked herself in disbelief as she read Alex's text message. Then she started typing back to him "What do you think of me, I mean, what do you think of yourself, and why would I be looking for means to see you" She sent that one first and took a deep breath before typing again. "And it's not like I just said let's meet up because I wanted to meet up with you, I asked for us to meet up because I wanted to ask some important things concerning our upcoming wedding" Alyssa typed angrily. After she was done s
