Chapter 31

Lucy couldn't sleep. Her throat felt dry, and she got out of bed in the dark, barefoot and dizzy.

She headed for the door and wandered into the kitchen.

A headache tormented her temples. It was probably because of the argument she had with Sebastian. She couldn't stop thinking about the handsome guy.

Her heart fluttered whenever he was around, and it was such a pain in the ass to deal with. Sebastian was interested in her, but since he couldn't give her what she wanted, there was no reason to date him.

She rubbed the sleep from her eyes, only to crash into something or someone blocking her path.

Looking up, her tired eyes landed on a massive chest. Curious eyes peered down at her.

Lucy quickly backed away from Sebastian when she noticed what her palm rested on: his pectoral muscle.
