A Few Months Later

Scarlett groaned after flushing the toilet. She had the worst pregnancy cramps ever. The entire morning had been spent puking, but the torture would be worth it.

Something extraordinary was about to happen, and Scarlett placed her hand on her bump, caressing it while smiling. It brought her to tears, and her heart swelled inside her chest.

After the doctors told her that she would have twins, her everyday life was no longer the same. She was stressed and anxious about the future, yet so very excited.

From being the mother of no one, she would soon become the mother of two little angels. It filled her with warmth to think about her future children.

The only thing which frightened her more than anything was having to raise her babies alone. Griffin's absence made her sad.
