72: Only Faith is Human

Soon, All six lanterns died, casting a pitch black darkness over the entire glassy sky road. He had exerted way too much of the effort. His vision turned blurry and his kneed finally froze. Everything abstract concept that he latched onto dissolved in a split second. Rain also felt his heart stopping in the middle of combat and closed her own eyes as well, accepting her fate.

His eyes dulled until there was no light left in them. Exhaustion finally caught up to him and his heart stopped. His arm twitched and blood flow stagnated.

However just when the glassy sky road lost its glimmer, the imprint of two feet manifested. The footprints shone cutting through the darkness like the last glimmer of hope.

The ghostly footprints inched closer and stood right in front of him. Creed's eyes still showed no sign of movement. Regardless, a friendly husky voice echoed through the entire path.
