He stalked through the woods.

He was as quiet as ever. He scuffled his feet softly on the the ground. He moved like there weren't thorns in the woods. He listened for any other sound that was unnatural in the forest. He strained his hear for sound. Any sound at all.

Lucius felt close to the beast. He had this gut feeling that he was close to taming it.

There was a thick fog around him, because it was barely dawn. His cloak gave him some form of cover and the fog hid him well.

All of a sudden, he heard a twig snap behind him. He whipped his head to the back immediately to see what it was. It was pointless, his vision was hazy.

The forest immediately grew quiet. His heart began race. The hair at his back rose. He felt like he was been watched. Like a prey hiding from its predator.

Another twig broke, this time, he didn't bother checking to see what it was. He swiftly moved away from the spot he had been. He felt a presence around him. He couldn't shake the feeling of danger.
