3- Some Major Changes!

Alessandra Benjamin:

Mrs. Collins was having difficulty recovering from her shock.

“Mrs. Collins. I want you to start working on the she-wolves’ warrior training. We have already... I have already wasted a lot of time.”

I rang the bell and when Emma came inside I at once asked her to call the head warrior Dimitri.

Once the middle-aged man was there, I asked him to assign his six best warriors to train the females of the pack. Mrs. Collins was the in charge. I asked her to approach me directly whenever she needed anything.

For the first time, I saw a little respect in her eyes.

Thanking me, Mrs. Collins left the office and I grabbed the calendar placed on the office table.

Alpha was out and I had almost twenty-five days to do my maximum work. I needed to do a lot of work before their arrival.

I needed to come up with a foolproof plan. That included earning respect from my pack members. Not to let my guard down. To make that girl a sign of failure in my pack’s eyes.

Yup. That was the mission.

I could still remember the hurt, I went through. It was understood that once any of us would find our fated mate we would reject him or her. But Romeo broke his promise. He brought her home and made her his mistress.

And that mistress gained sympathy from the pack members and killed me along with my child.

I rang the bell and when Emma came inside I asked her to call David by using her mind link and lock the door.

I needed my friends. True friends. I was all alone and wanted to fight back. But I also needed an ally.

Once David was inside, Emma locked the door.

“Em! David!”

Emma and David raised their heads to meet my eyes.

“I am sorry…” I whispered.

I could not say anything else because I knew I would never be able to complete it without crying.

They both were not expecting this apology.

I knew that the poor Omegas were speechless and were trying to control their tears. All of us were looking down, sniffing our noses, trying to control our emotions.

They both came near me and held my hands kneeling beside my chair, “Is everything alright, my Luna?” Emma asked me in a hoarse whisper.

David nodded his head agreeing with her, “Yeah. You seem… different. And your eyes, my Luna.” He had concern in his eyes.

“Please… In private you may call me Sandra like you used to do in old days. And yes. I think I am alright.” I nodded my head because I knew if I would tell them that I came back with a second chance, they might think I have gone crazy.

Even I did not know why my eyes looked shinier. More silvery.

“You have a body massage appointment this evening.” Emma told me.

“Yeah. Cancel it, Em.”

She looked at me as if she had seen a ghost. I had always been very particular about those beauty treatment appointments.

But who needed a beauty treatment after touching death and then dodging it?

“Call all the Omegas. I need to talk to all of them.” This sounded an absurd request but she did not remark.

Once all the Omegas were there in my office I ran a glance at them, “I will be quick about this. No matter what rank you belong to. From tomorrow onwards, every one of you will not only attend the school but will also train in the field. Mrs. Collins will let you know about your timetable and all other necessary things. Education and field trainings are mandatory. So you can’t escape it.”

Their mouths were hung open. There was surprise written on their faces.

But now all of them needed to get used to my new side. Even I needed to get used to this new version of me.

Man! I was getting excited.

Field training had started at the full throttle. After getting over their initial shock, all the pack members especially she-wolves were happy about this new change.

Omegas were participating happily in the fights along with their classes. They were doing the house and kitchen chores in shifts.

After an intense training session with the head warrior Dimitri, I bowed down panting heavily.

As a beginner he wanted me to do just two hours of training but I pushed it to three hours.

Yup. You got that right! I appointed Dimitri to teach me those field moves.

“My Luna. Your muscles must be sour. Get yourself soaked in Epsom salts and you will feel better in no time.”

I wish I could tell him that I did not have much time.

I did not feel tired. Taking a quick shower I called Emma and David to my office.

“Sandra! Why you are not mind linking us?” Emma’s question made David shoot me a worried gaze which made me want to hide in a hole.

I did not understand why I was not able to mind link my pack members. I was missing my wolf, Carla like anything.

Just then after a brief knock, the door opened a little and Dr. Sebastian peeked inside, “Luna. I am here for your check-up.”

Taking out his stethoscope, he touched my forehead with his wrinkled hand.

“You were too busy in the training. Just don’t fall ill again.” He said casually, “Emma. Feed her vegetable soups! She needs strength.”

Putting back his stethoscope he started measuring my blood pressure.

“The fever has taken away her strength of mind linking.” My eyes snapped up to him. There was a kind smile on his face, “It will be alright. Just give yourself some time, Luna.”

He started packing his bag and then stopped for a little while, “Just don’t try to shift into your wolf form. Due to the high fever, your eyes have become a little shinier and that’s normal.” He said softly before leaving.

David and Emma were discussing something when Dr. Sebastian left the room. And I was sitting on my seat all confused because I never called Dr. Sebastian for this checkup.
