On the west side of the battlefield, the refugees had managed to squeeze themselves out of the line of fire. The army had surrounded their escape to make sure no foreign hostile could reach them.

“State guards! Go help him!”

Thomas shouted the order to Robert and his comrades. They were hesitant for a moment, unsure of the perception of their eyes. The last time they checked their king was dead, completely dead. But after five years there he was, running towards them.
