Dai struggled to reach the top of the tree. As he clung to the hard bark, it continued to grit his delicate hands as he fought to ascend it. He gradually made it to the brink, where they perched on a branch protruding from the trunk above the hedge that divided the garden from the castle courtyard.

He joined in, settling his mass on a suitable spot on the massive branch. They savored the quiet while soaking in the scenery. As their gaze was drawn to the castle, the back door flew open, and someone emerged from inside. He lingered by the door for a moment, as if expecting someone.

Drom could tell who he was even from afar; he was the physician who was always around the castle, looking after his father. He eventually made his way down the stairwell that leads to a garden behind the castle.
