Chapter 25: It wasn't like that

"Noah," Averill called for him again, but Noah's eyes were set on Kieffer. If glares could kill a person, Kieffer might have had a place beside Damien now. Averill tried pulling her arm from Noah, but he tightened his grip.

"Are you seriously fucking deaf, Hills?" Noah's voice becomes cold as he looks at the man holding his wife. Averill flinched when Noah's grip hurt her arm. Kieffer noticed it and clicked his tongue in annoyance.

"Are you seriously fucking blind, Dalton? Your wife is hurting because of you." Kieffer let go of Averill, and Noah was pulling her at that time. She bumped into his chest, and Noah glared at her.

Noah scoffed, smiling sarcastically at what Kieffer had said. He himself did not know why he stepped in and even called Averill his wife when he was about to divorce the woman. Averill looked at her with a pained face. His grip must really hurt.

"Tsk," he pushed Averill to the ground, and the woman could not contain her balance and fell. Kieffer nervously tried
