Avery envelopes me in a hug. I feel overwhelming emotion running through me, but somehow the happiness overwhelms the need for tears to spill. Smiling would have been the way to go but my face rather resembles a deer in headlights.

I don’t know what to say, my mind has always been a little overly busy, I can convince myself out of buying anything I actually need. But now it’s blank. Just nothing. I stare at Cain a good while too long and he smiles softly.
