Killian's POVI waited by the stairs as Brielle was almost finished getting ready. I was planning on taking her to a restaurant named Midnight Lotus. Sure an appetizer costs around $200 and a reservation itself is $300 but I couldn't think of a better place to take her. Also I own the establishment so we'll be at an advantage with reservation schedules and meal preps. Looking down to my phone I sighed as Calvin sent me a message.Lockewood: Hello Killian. I've noticed you've been avoiding my calls.. no matter. I want to formally invite you to my son's gala this Friday as it would make me very please if you and Brielle were to come. I'm sure Blaine has already informed you of this since I sent him the invitations. And if you come.. I'm sure I'll have enough surprises to make your time worthwhile.. TataI rolled my eyes and screenshotted the message while sending it to Blaine." Such a fucking idiot. " I muttered and my head snapped when I heard some tsk." Bad word Killy " I looked to
Killian's POVI pushed my semi wet hair out of my face as I made my way to the kitchen. Tonight was very interesting. All throughout the rest of the night Brielle kept her 'anger' at a minimum and we actually enjoyed ourselves for the time being. Once we got back to the penthouse she quickly got unready in her room and has been in the living room ever since. I didn't exactly want to bring up the conversation earlier with her but it's never left my mind once.Brielle doesn't need a boyfriend. She needs a man and the small commitment of being a boyfriend emphasizes the word boy and friend. Your not a man and your never quite over the line of being a really good friend. It was clear that I wasn't some boy and I didn't want to be just friends. We've never been friends in my mind. She's only been mine.I've never had female friends. It would either lead to a one way relationship or others thinking I was in the friendzone or desperate. I don't intend to be either with Brielle. Hence why she
Third Person POVBrielle didn't say a word as she felt her heart being crushed. Killian noticed her sudden change in character walked a little closer to her." M-Marissa? " Brielle stutter and Marissa smiled." Brielle.. It's been so long since we've seen each other. " She walked over to Brielle and pulled her in for an unwelcoming hug. Brielle stood still as she felt her blood go cold. She stepped back from Marissa's embrace and before she could attempt to say another word, Calvin walked over with a smile on his face." I see you've met my date Marissa.. " He said and Brielle inched closer to Killian who in return wrapped his arm around her. Marissa furrowed her eyebrows as she tilted her head." I thought I would've been the first to know when you got yourself a boyfriend Bri.. I am your big sister after all " Killian's eye went wide and he snapped his head over to Calvin who was looking around as if he hadn't known what he'd done." And you must be Killian.... I've heard a lot abou
Third Person POVBrielle walked into the kitchen and jump once she saw Blaine sitting at the counter. He had his laptop open and his coffee in his hand. He took a sip of his coffee and barely noticed Brielle as she walked to the other side of the counter and placed her hands on the edge." Hello Blaine. " He jumped as he almost spit his coffee out and he quickly shut his laptop. He coughed as he tried to looked normal and Brielle chuckled." What ya working on? "" Just some important information I've been collecting for Killian. " He responded." I'm guessing this is the same thing you two were whispering about yesterday in front of me and judging by the way you closed the laptop so fast when you saw me, I'm assuming I can't know about this information. "" You're quite the guesser. " He smirked and they heard a tiny gasp." UNCLE BLAINEY!! " He sent Brielle a quick wink before placing the coffee on the table and turning dramatically over to the direction of Delilah's voice." NEICY
Brielle's POV4 Years AgoI stepped into what used to be my parents home and threw my bag onto the counter. I had a long early shift and as much as Mr. Burkley didn't want me to stay extra, I had to. I need the hours and I couldn't do without them. My parents stopped paying the bills of the house the second I turned 18, which was last month and now they're just piling up. I've been thinking of moving to a smaller place and selling this house since it's obvious they don't want it anymore and it gets way to lonely at times.I took a seat on my crying chair which was in living room and contemplated if I felt like letting go right now. This chair used to be Eugene's favorite before he left to go overseas. My parents wanted to get rid of it but I could never let them. I still roam around his room hoping I would open the door and to find him sitting on the bed... sadly, it never happens.I cry too much and it gets to the point where my heart feels so heavy but I don't have any tears left. B
Brielle's POV" We and the court have reason to believe that your sister deliberately left and abandoned the baby. "" Are you sure? I don't even know what to say... let me see if I can call her. " He watched me as I got up and ran to my phone to dial her number. It didn't even ring. The operator came on and I ended it as I looked over to him." It's said that the number is no longer in service. " He sighed." We've tried contacting her numerous times already and we've gotten nowhere. We had someone go to the residence that she was located on the computer but it has been placed for sale as of last week. She called the hospital from an anonymous source this morning and told them not to come looking for her and for you to take care of where the baby goes... We tried tracing it but we found no luck. Also, the identity of the father is.. unknown " I took a seat in front of him again and he didn't say anything as he probably knew that I was in complete shock." ..So where do we go from her
Third Person POVMadam A walked away and Killian opened the door of the room and stepped in. There he saw Brielle in the middle of the floor as she stood frozen in her position. She was in her dance attire and her hair was down her back. She didn't notice him as closed the door and approached her slowly. She was too deep in her thoughts."....The best and most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen or even touched - they must be felt with the heart. " Killian whispered and Brielle looked up and noticed him behind her in the mirror." ... Words written by a woman who couldn't see or even hear herself. " Killian smirked." I suppose you would know the wise words of Hellen Keller.. you worked in a library for the last few years " Brielle placed her leg down and gave him her full attention." ... How are you Brielle? " Killian asked tilting his head." .. I'm fine " He smirked at her reply." I'd like another answer.. one that isn't an automatic defense mechanism. " She shrugged her
Third Person POVWalking out of the plane, Brielle went over to the car with a sleeping Delilah in her arms. It was about 4 in the morning and they just landed in Japan. She was extremely tired and she felt like dying as she knew today would be back to back meetings from 9 AM to 6 PM. She wanted to get as much sleep as she could but she knew it would be quite hard since she was moving around so much.Killian walked over to the car as he finished speaking with the driver and opened the door for Brielle. She got in the car and placed Delilah in the booster seat that she told Killian to put one in each car Delilah was going to ride in. She didn't want her to continue to sit in a car without any support in case of an accident.Brielle sat in the middle and leaned her head on Killian's shoulder as he entered the car. She looked up at him and noticed that he didn't look tired at all. Even at 4 in the morning he managed to look professional, awake and angry all while being over dressed in hi
