Vale stared at the floor. I could pick up his heartbeat as it raced but nothing showed it in his features. His face was blank as he bore holes into the floor. Looking back at the phone, I saw Simon also watching intently. Every once in a while though, he would look up over the phone.

“So, what’s next?” I finally broke the silence and asked.

Simon’s head locked back onto me. “Well, right now, we are tracking down the three SUV’s that drove off in the beginning of the video. They basically played the cup game and mixed together, then went separate ways. Pipsqueak is tracking their movements through as many cameras as she can get ahold of. We took one of the SUV’s and she is still tracking the other two.”

I nodded. “Tracing where they went narrows our search considerably.” He nodded but I saw his lips press together. “What?”
