Chapter 2. The forbidden room

Keelin walked down the hallway with the phone pressed to her ear.

"I just got there, I forgot my thing, so I come back to get it."

Keelin glanced at each design around. Ramos Mansion, the largest mansion in Osmund city, the ancient and modern architecture is engraved on each wall, it is indeed not to be underestimated. Keelin had looked at it countless times, she greatly admires the people who built this mansion

“Forget things or forget your heart? Keelin Morales aren't you still attached to that man". Eira growled questioningly.

Eria knows all too well how much love Keelin has for Lars, otherwise, she wouldn't have brought her whole body to bind him. Keelin's love is crazy and obstinate.

Keelin could only sigh, it was true that she was like that before. But after suffering a lot of traumas, she thought it through, which is also the reason why she chose to divorce.

Lars’s calmness when signing the divorce papers at that time made Keelin feel that her decision was correct.

“Forgetting things. Remember my teardrop necklace? I forgot that. You can rest assured, I have no intention of renewing my old love with Lars." Keelin affirmed firmly.

Keelin loved Lars for more than five years without being kicked back. She gave up, from now on it will be a thing of the past, she will not let him affect her anymore.

Turning into a familiar corridor, Keelin couldn't help but feel strange.

Why are there no servants today?

“Remember, that man is not worth your love.” Eira's voice came from the other end of the line.

"No more talking, wait until I get the necklace and we'll have coffee, okay?" Keelin spoke over the loudspeaker. The more she refuted Eira, the more she would say, and each time, Keelin spoke quickly.

"Okay, let's go quickly and come back."

"Clear". Rarely is Eira easygoing, Keelin nodded as she spoke and hung up

Stepping into the familiar room for three years, Keelin couldn't help but feel nostalgic. This place filled her heart and tears, but it did not include Lars' love.

Since getting married, Keelin has been pushed into this room, she and Lars are husband and wife but sleep in separate rooms. The more she thought about it, the more bitterly Keelin felt.

"Ah, here it is." After searching for a while, Keelin found a teardrop necklace in a cupboard. From the day she arrived at the Ramos mansion, she only thought of Lars, so she accidentally forgot it. Luckily, it's still here.

For Keelin, this necklace is very special. Born into a prestigious family, and being the only girl in the family, Keelin never had to do anything. She gets what she wants, gets what she needs, and never has to work hard. However, a young lady like Keelin once saved a life and was rewarded with this necklace by that person. It was like an achievement, a special medal in Keelin's life. That's why she could not give it up, she had to get it back.

After wearing the necklace around her neck, Keelin breathed a sigh of relief, she felt much more secure.

Keelin left the room. However, just as she closed the door of the room, a sudden shrill sound made her shiver.

“AAAA … no … stop … please!!!”

That cry came from the room at the end of the corridor, people called it the forbidden room, where no one was allowed except Lars. During his three years here, Keelin had never seen such a case. Thinking back, she discovered that there was always a certain time of day when the maids would take her out of the area for various reasons. Because Keelin was no longer the mistress of the mansion, and had returned unexpectedly, no one paid any attention to her.

Keelin hesitantly took a step closer to the room. She was afraid, but she couldn't stop her curiosity.

The sound fades and then stops.

At the same time, Finn, Lars' trusted secretary, and subordinate, entered the mansion.

Seeing Finn in a hurry, after greeting him, the gardener of the mansion immediately said:

“Sir, Miss Morales just arrived, she said she forgot something, so she came back to get it.”

“What? How long has she been here?" Finn panicked and pulled up his sleeve to look at his watch. Lars should be alone in that room right now.

"It's been 15 minutes, she's only come to get her things, so she'll probably be out soon." The gardener didn't notice Finn's attitude, he said, and went back to work.

Finn hurried to the west room.

Meanwhile, Keelin's hand reached the doorknob. She hesitated for a moment, then decided to open it.

Krsss!

The sound was normal, but this time it reverberated throughout the corridor.

The room was shrouded in darkness, and Keelin slowly entered. She began to smell blood, her eyes relying on the light from the hallway to adjust to the darkness inside. Keelin panicked.

Suddenly, eyes widening, Keelin stopped, the sight before her made her stop breathing.

It's Lars, but he looks very strange and scary. His hair was disheveled, his blood-red eyes shining in the dark, blood still dripping from those sharp fangs. And at Lars' feet, a man stopped breathing, his face white, blood gushing from his neck, all around.

Blood, blood everywhere. The fishy smell made Keelin feel uncomfortable, her brows furrowing tightly.

"Miss Morales!" Finn's voice suddenly came from the far end of the corridor.

Keelin reflexively looked out the door with a frightened face. Suddenly, a gust of wind blew, and the door slammed shut. It all happens in an instant.

At this moment, darkness completely swallowed Keelin.

“Lars… you…” Keelin trembled at a loss for words. She sensed someone approaching her, and felt the killing intent directed at her.

I will die here today?

Keelin reached out and gripped the part of her shirt where her heart was. She couldn't believe that vampires existed a thousand times, much less than it was Lars.

Keelin's breathing was slow, but her heart soon increased because of the stress.

Rustling!

A gust of wind blew, Keelin fell to the ground, tears streaming from her eyes uncontrollably.

“Lars…please…remember 3 years of marriage…please forgive me” _ Keelin said in sobs

From outside, Finn repeatedly banged on the door in anxiety and insecurity.

“Mr. Ramos, please stay awake. Lady Morales is not your 'object'. Please open the door for me.”

Although the room was soundproof, Keelin still could hear every word của Finn. She shivered, scared.

“I told you not to come in here. But you don't listen to me." A low, husky male voice said. For Keelin now, that familiar voice was like a resounding sound from hell.

Keelin reached out and hugged Lars' leg even though it was still stained with the dead man's blood.

She kept begging but he stood still, as steady as a mountain.

Finn's voice outside fades and stops.
