Chapter Fifteen

Eve wiped the stray tears making their way to her cheeks as she staggered to her apartment. Anyone who saw her walking to her home that night needed not to be told that she was shattered.

She made her way through the barely shut door and turned the lights on after getting inside. Eve flung her bag to the right and sank on the largest couch in her living room and a few minutes, her mind drifted to Henry's confession of being married which sparked in her a torrential overflow of tears.

Eve stood up and staggered to the corner she flung her bag. She pulled out her cell phone. Olivia had bombarded her phone with calls already. Eve's fragile hands trembled as she dialed Olivia's number.

"Eve? Are you there? Where have you been?" came Olivia's voice on the phone
