Chapter One hundred-Three

"Mom!" Henry began, his arms around her shoulder. "I know you mean well but trust me I'm working on it and one of these days, I'll come bearing good news." He smiled and guided her face with his right hand toward him.

"Fine." Madeline surrendered with a deep sigh. She smiled at Henry for the first time since he stepped feet into the room.

"Are we ready to move to the table now?" Mr Cater asked with his palms wide open before them.

"Of course," Madeline replied and let them out with a smile.

The trio traced their steps to the dining table downstairs. They sat around the large square table. Henry sat in between his parents just like in old times.

On the dining table were trays of marinated pork, chopped liver, some steaks and chunks of turkey. Three bowls were also stationed on the table. A bottle of champagne was resting on an ice pail. The domestic staff placed the utensils, goblets and plates. They moved to the corner.
