Chapter One Hundred Twenty-Three

He strode to the reception and traced his way to the care unit where a petite nurse attended to the cut on his left palm. She covered the injury with plaster and was about to administer a painkiller to Henry when he fled toward the theatre.

He stood outside the theatre and paced for about ten minutes before the door to the room was pulled open.

The surgeon came out with a victorious smile and Henry sighed in relief for the first time since the accident.

"She's stabilised. We needed to operate on her because her head sustained a deep cut but right now, she's out of danger." The surgeon reported.

Henry gave a half smile. He felt as if a load had been lifted off his chest.

"Can I see her?" he tried to peep into the theatre room.

The surgeon took off the mask covering his nose. "I'm sorry you can't. She'll be transferred to a private ward in a moment."

"Can I see her once she had been transferred to the ward?" demanded the impatient Henry.
