Chapter One Hundred Sixty-Three

Eve stopped pacing and moved closer to him. " I remember your exact words the other day. You said it was best if we stayed away from each other. You even said something about your presence in my life as a purveyor of harm so I think it's time you honour your words. Let's end this once and for all." She said.

"You don't get it!" Henry flared up and ran his hands through his hair.

Eve's eyes widened in surprise. "I don't want to get any damn thing. What I want is for the both of us to end this pointless relationship not just today but for good," she replied and positioned both her hands on her hips.

Henry began taking steps toward her and when she gave him the stink eye, he stopped.

"I said don't you ever come close to me again."

"You will only end this affair when I say so." Henry declared while staring Eve straight in the face.

She gasped, marvelling at the authority in his voice and the audacity in his eyes. She swung her head from left to right. "You must be fucking joking."
