All Hell Break Loose

Aria.

Even I have no idea, how I could cover this distance in such a short period. Why did I feel this sudden need to protect Ben? I swear that I am fast, but not as fast as I have just experienced. It is almost surreal.

I turn to Mr. Levi Reynolds and nod. Even I am shocked. However, my shock does not last long. It quickly switches to defense. A furious redhead lunges at me snarling like a rabid dog. I block all her attacks before holding her in a chokehold.

"I swear Reddy, if you don't stop I will thrash you. Why are you attacking me again? Is it my problem that your equally stupid brother decided to sneak an attack on an unsuspecting person? I will knock you out again if you do not leave me be."

I am furious now and my whole being is itching for a fight. I am surprised at how steady my voice sounds. Mr. Reynolds grabs a hold of Reddy and I let loose.

"Miss Sawyer, what is this about? Can you not wait your turn? And what did I say about shifting? I have called your father and we need to settle this once and for all. If you want to fight Aria, then it is only fair you do it following the rules. Do not make me repeat myself, Scarlet!"

When Mr. Reynolds says her name, I burst out laughing. I take back my earlier statement. Now this is quite a cliche. A redhead named Scarlet? Who does that to their child? Mr. Reynolds looks at me puzzled and when he questions my reason for laughing, I laugh even harder.

"Aria De Andrade! Why are you laughing like that?"

"I am so sorry sir. But she is a redhead and she is called Scarlet. All along I had named her Reddy!"

I speak through giggles and once I am done, all the other students burst out laughing. Even though Mr. Levi Reynolds is not laughing, I see a twinkle in his eye. He is holding the laughter in. Scarlet, on the other hand, turns beet red with rage.

Without the go-ahead from our trainer, she lunges forward and catches me unexpectedly. She punches me straight in the gut and I stumble backward. Seeing her aiming for my throat, I notice a murderous glint in her eyes. I steady myself and decide to unleash my demons.

I am normally very restrained when fighting. I have had no reason to use the full extent of my strength. Even in the underground arenas, we would not be fighting to the death. However, this time, I know that this redhead is out for blood. It is kill or be killed now.

Just before she reaches for my throat, I swerve to the left, at the same time kicking her abdomen with my right leg. She is winded and takes a few seconds to regain her composure. I did not instigate this fight, therefore, I am not on the offensive. I want to see what she's got and frustrate her.

I deflate every attack of hers without breaking a sweat. Reddy is not doing so well though. She is all sweaty and tired but is not willing to give up. Reddy is all talk really. Yes, she is aggressive but she does not have what it takes to fight against me.

I guess that is a mistake I will not be forgetting soon. I let my guard down and Reddy caught me unawares. However, irrespective of that, I manage to catch her sneak attack on me through the corner of my eye.

What baffles me is, how she managed to sneak such a horrendous weapon into the training fields. She charges towards me wearing a furry claw, aiming for my throat.

I swerve to the side and she swipes at my hand and part of my chest instead. Excruciating, unbearable pain hits me and I let out a blood-curdling scream. Scarlet stands there with a sinister grin on her face.

Then I see red. A rage so crimson that an unspeakable rush of adrenaline overtakes my whole body. Then it is replaced by this indescribable need for blood that I have never felt. As everyone stands there with their mouths gaped in horror, I crouch and spring towards Reddy.

With my good hand, I pull her head and crush her face into my knee. Even when I hear the crunch of her nose breaking, I do not relent. Instead, I get up and stomp on that furry hand of hers till her screams stop. I know that it is badly broken.

I see Principal Reynolds rushing towards our group with an equally enraged other man but I do not stop. Anyone who tries to hold me down suddenly becomes my opponent. Even with my badly injured hand, I make use of all my good limbs and head.

I feel lighter as if the wind is aiding me. Having noted each face that smiled when Reddy hurt me, I barrel into the unsuspecting crowd kicking and headbutting each of them. The whole training field is filled with screams and scurrying students.

The blonde-haired man who bears an uncanny resemblance to that Sawyer boy charges at me. It does not take me long to know that he must be their dad. Seeing him charging towards me, I only know one thing. He is so conceited that he wants to fight for his children.

That is when I lose it. I have a secret that I have not told anyone. I have mastered a martial arts skill that only a few, dream of. If I can concentrate well, I can manipulate wind, water, and fire.

As I see his enraged face, I close my eyes and concentrate. Body steady, legs akimbo, I use my good hand to summon the wind. Of course, it will not be as strong as when I use both hands but this will do. I have never done this when angry. My master always told me to empty my mind of any thoughts during those sessions.

When I feel the leaves rustling, I know I have achieved my goal. With my eyes closed, I lift my hand and shove it with all my strength towards the direction I hear rushed footsteps. Then I hear gasps and then screaming and footsteps scurrying away.

Snapping my eyes open, even I am taken aback by the damage I see. A raging whirlwind is what I see and I do not know how it came to be. It could not have been me, could it? Principal Reynolds and his twin are issuing orders to the students. Some are already running back to the school building, whilst others are glued to their spots with shock plastered on their faces.

Fear and shock grip me and I slump down. Only when I fall, do I feel the pain. I know without a doubt that my hand is broken. No matter how hard I try to clench my teeth and stop the screaming, I lose.

Hearing my scream of agony, Mr. Levi Reynolds rushes towards me. He scoops me and starts running towards the school infirmary. I feel sick from the pain but I try to hold it in. I think the big man covers the distance in less than a minute which leaves me wondering. How can someone run so fast whilst carrying another person?

"Alpha, this is bad. She has multiple fractures on the hand and this gush on her chest is too deep. She needs to be taken to their hospital because she needs a transfusion and you know why she cannot be given blood from our blood bank. I guess we need to inform her mother."

Even though I am lightheaded, I can hear what the strange woman says. Who is Alpha? And why can I not be given blood from their banks? Is it because no one has my blood type? That is odd.

"I understand Jane, but can you not do something for her now? Stitch her up or something. At least stop the bleeding and also see what you can do for her hand."

This voice, I cannot tell if it is the principal or his twin. All I can hear is a concern. I know I like these two guys.

"Yes, I can. Luckily, I called Doctor Boyce and he is almost here. He will be able to fix up the broken hand and stitch up that deep wound on her chest. Everything else can be done here except for the blood sir. I.."

Jane voices her concerns but suddenly stops mid-sentence. I feel another presence in the infirmary with us. I hope this is the so-called doctor. I open my eyes and see him staring at me. The white coat makes me believe that he is the doctor we are waiting for.

I am wondering why the other students are not here in the school infirmary with me. I know I hurt Reddy quite badly and a lot of other students. Then where are they? The doctor keeps staring at me with curiosity. I wonder what is going on in his mind.

Ignoring his stares, I ask the very thing on my mind.

"Doctor sir, I know that I hurt Reddy quite badly and I am worried about her. Shouldn't you be attending to her first? What about the other students? How come none of them are here? I am sorry Mr. Reynolds, but I am normally quite disciplined. Unfortunately, today I lost to my anger."

The doctor turns to the two Reynolds and I know he does not know about the other students. However, the craziest thing happens. The twin Reynolds starts laughing. Even the nurse and the doctor are as puzzled as I am. Levi is first to regain his composure and explains to the doctor amid giggles.

"You should have been there Boyce. Aria handed it to Sawyer and his kids quite well. Lately, the whole family has become too hot-headed. Wherever Sawyer is, I am sure he is embarrassed."

That is odd and I have a sinking feeling in my heart. It seems like I have successfully created some enemies on my first day at school. I heard that everyone at this school is quite rich. I wonder what they will do to us. So I blurt it out before thinking.

"Do you think they will come after me? Should I be worried? Not that I am scared of the three of them. My only fear is if they will send some goons after my mum and me."

"Not when we are here little one. He will not even dare. Stop worrying about all of them. They have good doctors and will be as good as new next time you see them."

That seems to take a lot off my shoulders. I go on to plead with them not to notify my mum till she clocks off work. Whatever happens next, is just a blur.
