Signed Over II

The click of silverware against plates was the only autonomous sound enveloping the room as we ate, I couldn't even hear their breaths, and I know because I had paused mine to make sure they were breathing.

"Are you enjoying the food?", Jacob asks, the question propelling me to look up at him.

I nodded, "Yes".

It's the company I don't fancy, I silently added in my head and went back to my food.

In truth my stomach was all shades of full, but I didn't want to stop eating.

Sydney and Claude began a conversation in low

tone, and I had been left to my thoughts once more.

I looked down at the food in my plate, turning green at the idea of forcing another spoon into my mouth.

Now that I had eaten dinner, I guess it was time to go home.

I looked up abruptly, hardening my eyes and I glanced at Jacob's lazy and laxed ones, "It's time I go home".

All whispers of conversation stopped at the small table and Jacob smirked at him.

"You're done eating?", He asked, more of a statement than a questio

I like this book very much, I don’t like the fact that it’s on going, this is the only book that I’ve kept reading, I wish there were more each times it’s updated. Thank you
