The Revelation

Throwing the doors open of the high priest's chamber, I barged straight in and found him perched on a rocking chair with an old book in his hands. The whole place was illuminated by the rays of the setting sun coming through the window.

"What are you here for, my child? Well, you did come at the right time, I was thinking about summoni-" I couldn't suppress my impatience so I halted his sentence.

"Why didn't you tell me?" I exclaimed and his face scrunched up in utter confusion. "I know that the King is going to reject me. But why did you not tell me about this? I want to know everything." I said, this time more calmly.

Realisation hit him and he relaxed into his chair. "well then," he drawled and pointed to a chair beside the bed for me to sit. "About 20 years ago, I had a dream or, more suitably, a vision. I saw you in it. That was where I first saw you, actually. You were fighting. In some glimpses it was with others and in some, it was with the King himself." He paused and looked
