Sylvie’s POV

Good grief! What the hell did I do to deserve the punishment my body has been through in the last few days? I feel like I’ve been run over by a truck! Both of my sides hurt like hell, but one hurts worse than the other. After seeing Luke off to see Aja, Queen of the Dark Witch Coven, I asked my mom, “What happened to me and why are both of my sides hurting?” She asked, “You don’t remember?” I shook my head, “I don’t remember. I know Luke said I had to have a skin graft, but he didn’t tell me why.” Mom asked, “Do you remember fighting the rogues?” I nodded, “I do remember that, but I don’t remember this happening.” She smiled, “Let me fill in the blanks for you. Apparently, Luke felt it before you did. He made you quit fighting long enough to look down at your side and then you passed out. He caught you before you hit the ground and immediately brought you here. They took you back to surgery and your mate felt everything that you did. I guess, at one point, your anesthesia
