SILAS’ POV:
“I hate you!”I can’t see her face with my head forcefully swung the other way but I hear the tremble in her words.I’m speechless at first, still shocked from the sudden assault. It stings but not my face.Something else stings inside me.I slowly turn to her wide-eyed, clutching onto my cheeks. My eyes remain bewildered, watching her tremble. She doesn’t even dare to look up to me while biting at her lower lips.“W-what?”I don’t believe what I’ve heard from her just now.“I hate you,” she mutters more silently than earlier. It doesn’t sting as less as before, only a lot more realizing I hadn’t misheard.“Freya, what’s going on?”I take a step closer to take her hand in mine but she quickly moves back, shifting her hand out of my reach.“Don’t touch me.”She’s acting even crazier, which starts to annoy me.“Don’t touch you? What’s that supposed to mean.”“It simply means don’t touch me.” She snaps moreSILAS' POV:I haven’t seen Freya in two whole days. It was like she had deleted herself off the surface of the earth. She was mad for some unknown reason the last time we had spoken, walking out on me. Now, she was clearly trying to avoid me. I just know it.It’s typical for a girl to want to be chased, so I guess this is what it is. It makes them feel special and valued, I suppose. The key to a girl’s heart was basically partaking in the chase and sweeping her off her feet.Yet, I did all that and now, she was in hiding. I give it two more days at least before she realizes just how much she misses my attention. And comes crawling out of whatever hole she’s hiding in.It has always worked this way.As soon as the school bell rings, I’m standing right in front of the Nature Chemistry lab and looking down at my wristwatch. The bell rings just in time. It would take approximately 2 minutes for her to finish up on her project, gather her
FREYA'S POV:Adjusting to new classes should have been easy, especially class program for dum—struggling kids, yet the stack of notes and projects to be reviewed on my reading desk begged to differ.Just how much had they done since the beginning of the semester?Just two days of figuring all this out and I was already tired, though my tiredness stemmed solely from the frustration of my entire school life being turned upside down.In actuality, the work was much but it was a breeze, a lengthy breeze. I’m just heavily pissed with my situation.I sigh from the intensive exhaustion, dropping my head on the table just when Xena comes back from her thirty-minute long shower in her bathrobe and her short black hair dripping wet.“What’s with you?” She asks walking in whilst drying her face with a hand towel.“Nothing, just watching my life burn up in flames before my eyes. You know… the usual.” She gives me a pity glance and I don’t blame her. If I co
FREYA'S POV: I turn the other way before his lips can meet mine and I lose my mind and willpower to his lips.He freezes at my rejection, staring at the side of my head. Practically boring holes with his eyes. The grip on my arm from him tightens as he stares into my soul. It takes everything within me to rip myself away from him before he melts away my resolve with those silver eyes.I tug my hand from his hold, rubbing on the sore spot he’s left.“It doesn’t matter if you believe me or not, Silas. The truth won’t change just because it doesn’t make sense to you.”“Bullshit.” He seethes now, clearly not loving my reaction to him.I don’t understand why he’s being so stubborn. Did it hurt his ego so badly to be turned down?“And what is your reason?” He asks now, slowly getting riddledI avoid his eyes, still unable to look up into them again, in fear that he might just see my apprehension and reluctance. It was just Silas, the Sil
FREYA'S POV:Just as soon as the school bell rings, I walk into my first class for the new week as unenthusiastic as ever, fully depressed and clad in an oversized hoodie and jeans. My attire is enough to tell a whole story on just what’s going on with me.And if you still didn’t get the message, wait till I release my full head of nested hair, three days comb-free.It’s not like I choose to ignore a few steps in the body hygiene routine and dress like a homeless child, it’s more of school just isn’t what it used to be.The joy of it was sucked out with the news of my new class and I didn’t feel like I was living again. My friends are on the other side of the school campus and the exciting subjects were watered down into boring lessons I had to go through.Sometimes, I even feel bad using my brain’s full potential for fear of making everyone else feel stupid.I drop on my seat, waiting for the teacher to walk in.“Psst…” The snake-like hissin
FREYA'S POV:Now, it’s either Norman is just too dumb and mistaking the scent he's getting as something else… Or, something was definitely wrong.Even if he was as dumb as the chicken from Moana, a wolf’s instinct was impeccable. We could differentiate between the ranking of wolves easily with just a whiff of the scents they give off or their aura.Still, there was no way… It wasn’t possible. The potion couldn’t have worn off so suddenly. He continues sniffing and then his eyes fall on me, dead serious.“What?”He says nothing, stepping closer to me.“You…”At this point, I’m shaking in my seat. I’m sweating like a pig, my underarms soaked in perspirationNo way, no way, no way.He stares at me suspiciously as I tremble.“The smell’s coming from you.”Fuck.Run.My mind screams for me to run as he slowly creeps in closer to me, trying to verify his new theory.I leap from my seat quickly, taking a big st
FREYA'S POV:The case of the mysterious Omega smuggling themselves past security and into school died very quickly and didn’t spread as much as I had feared. I guess that’s the difference between the new building I was in and the previous one.It seems struggling students had much less attention span to carry a hot topic long enough to do damage or bother themselves with it. Maybe being sent here has a few hidden blessings.Norman, as well, had concluded the mysterious omega had somehow settled their scent on me. I didn’t argue and let him believe whatever he wanted to as long as my secret’s safe. Now, the main dilemma of all this load of shit threatening the very life I’m fighting for plagued my mind. The minimum sleep I had held within my grasp slid away from me.I’m constantly on edge for when my Alpha scent would fade and I would be in danger. It could be anywhere and anytime. It was terrifying, anticipating when next my life would be
FREYA'S POV: The brief encounter with Adam is enough to make the rest of my day less of a dread and brighter…just a tad bit, and it feels much worse when he leaves finally. The silence is enough to trigger my thoughts again. I’m more than relieved once the final bell rings and the last class for the day dismisses.I grab my homework and a few textbooks in my bag and walk straight to the female dormitory with plans of crashing onto my bed and drifting into a deep sleep — anything to lose consciousness for a while. If it’s possible, I would sleep for months, or sleep my way till all this was over.I mostly pride myself on being too tough to crack under pressure yet here I am, looking for an easy way out.I push the doors into the familiar tall, brick building with it's architecture similar to a mini castle which was still pretty big, and move over to the grand stairwell, making my way to my room floor.Flamboyant giggling up ahead becomes very apparent and
FREYA'S POV: I had always imagined that if a time would come and Xena and I had to fight off a two-person team of girls, it would be a tag team kind of situation, like in wrestling. But damn, was I wrong? She was a full team on her own, pouncing like a lioness while I sat on the side and watched it unfold.Sadly, all the initial screaming had attracted attention and security was pulling us apart before more damage could be dealt.“You crazy brute! You worthless pig!” Elena screeched wickedly while being held back by the guard. “I’m going to rip your eyes out when I get the chance!” She screamed again. Her threats were directed at Xena who was also being held on the side.“Why don’t you come closer and say that to my face?” Xena threatens, attempting to free herself from the two built men holding her back.Elena remains silent for a moment, for the first time not trying to break away from the guy holding her back.I see what you did there.I w
