Lily's Confession

Austin leaned away, then pushed my hands off him. I could feel his nails dig into my skin slightly as he did, and I let go of him, my heart in my throat.

Simon was still looking at Austin, and for a minute, the only sound to be heard was the cackling of the flames.

Austin smiled, a small one sided smile as he nodded and turned to me briefly. He then turned back to Simon, then pushed his hair back into a bun.

"You know what? You are right. I have been too lenient in my attempt to be a good alpha...I forgot there is no such thing as a good alpha. An alpha is simply a beast."

Simon started to smile before Austin stopped the laughter mid way, his hands clasping over Simon's throat. I ran to him, but instead of anger, I saw plain emotionlessness.

"Austin." I gasped as he bit down on his bottom lip in a smile.

"I have been too lenient, haven't I? Now you will come with me."

Without a word to me, he broke into a run, disappearing out of my sight.
