Chapter 16 - Job well done

Killian POV

“The boss wants to talk to you,” Selina says to Ashley. I don’t like her tone, and I will make sure to tell her she needs to watch her fucking attitude. I am not going to allow anyone to diminish my woman. Hell, what am I saying? She’s not my woman, not yet, anyway.

“Hello?” I hear Ashley’s melodic voice through the phone and hold it tighter. I take a deep breath, trying to prepare myself for what is about to come.

“You’re safe now, Lass,” I let out. I could tell she was tense. Her breathing is erratic. I can’t even begin to understand what she is feeling right now. She’s been trapped with that monster. I had someone keeping an eye on her, and she was never seen alone. He was always around her like a fucking vulture. I fucking hate him, and I will do anything in my power to destroy him, to make him pay for taking her away from me.
