Chapter 24 - Alive after all part 3

Killian POV

“What the fuck is this?” I ask, still feeling like I am about to fall into a pool of acid. I can’t believe what is right in front of me. How is this even possible? I went to the funeral, and I saw his body. I saw him dead. His eyes closed, his skin losing its natural tanned color. He wasn’t breathing. Surely I would’ve noticed him breathing. He would’ve moved at some point during those twelve hours I stood next to his casket while he was dead, and people came to tell me how sorry they were. Bullshit. I look into his eyes, and I can see the anxiety in them. I can see he is as scared as I am.

“Son, let me explain,” he says, and I break my train of thought, looking at Ash and then at him. Ash’s hands move up and down my arm, bringing me back to her and making me stay grounded before I lose my shit and put my hand through the wall.

I walk to the small table in the corner of the room, and Ash follows me with him. My father. He walks slowly, adjusting his steps with the Cane.
