CHAPTER ONE

Unforgotten

Janice gazed through the window of the tinted glass of the land rover as it sped past the busy London street. It was a wet evening in London; the streetlights decorated the street like satellites dotted across the galaxy. The lights from the apartment's windows made it even better- the view was simply breathtaking!

This is one of the many things Janice loved about London; aside from the weather, the tea and cake, especially St. Lauren's tea shop is the absolute best!

And...Him perhaps? Not a chance! Janice thought angrily. Not that loser!

But Janice knew better. Her lips quivered as memories of their lovemaking washed down on her. She touched her lips with the tip of her finger as she recalled how Drake captured them aggressively into his.

Her heart began throbbing so badly that she felt wet between her thighs. She gasped softly as her fingers went in between her thighs. She thrust upwards as her fingers worked. She resisted the urge to moan loudly as she remembered how Drake fingered and ate her up so passionately because, of course, Mr Briggs, the chauffeur, is in the front seat but all thanks to the blaring music he couldn't have heard.

She moans softly again, her eyes barely opened, heart pounding from the emotions coursing through every fibre of her being. She sighed as she came to the honest realization that she had been fighting off for so long; fucking hell! She aches for him...

Almost immediately her phone chimed.

She sighed again. Beads of sweat greased the swell of her breasts. She withdrew her now gummy wet hands and retrieved a nicely folded handkerchief from her handbag, wiped her hands and sprayed a Dior perfume around her.

"Mr Briggs the music please-!" She called out.

The music enveloped the car, with Mr Briggs tapping at the steering of the car furiously while nodding away and mouthing the lyrics. At first, he didn't hear, then Janice, now fuming, reached out and tapped the elderly slumped shoulder of the sixty-two-year-old man.

"For heaven's sake, Mr Briggs! I need to pick a call."

Embarrassment etched on his face as he quickly turned the music down.

"My sincere apologies, Miss Jordan."

Right, "Jordan."

"Jordan" is one of the most famous families in the United Kingdom and internationally, a family of insane wealth and affluence, resounding across Europe. Her dad, Thomas Jordan is the right hand of the British Prime Minister and the CEO of the top fast-growing Tech company (A.L.O.S ) in the U.K. Janice is believed to be the next in line as she is the first and only daughter of the Jordans.

Her mother, Isabella, tragically passed away about five years ago during childbirth. The baby died too; her supposedly little brother. Her father had vowed to shower all his love and affection on the upbringing of Janice. Thus, she was taken to the best schools in the world, given the best cars, and everything she could ever possibly want. She thought she didn't need love because she could buy it. Of course, everything was at her beck and call, so long as the money is available and never runs dry.

In all of her life, no man has ever swept her off her feet, make her beg, make her ache so badly to be loved, to be touched...until he came into the picture.

Then everything changed...

Janice snapped back to reality as the phone continues to vibrate again.

"Oh! Fuck!" She cursed underneath her breath with her heart in her throat, like the name she least expected popped up.

The Encounter

"C'mon Jane!" Hannah smirked with a sly smile on her face. "We both know the truth." She sipped her mint tea and scooped a mouthful of cream berry cake.

The perfect afternoon tea date with her bestie and only true friend, Hannah Spikes-they have been best friends since high school, and of course, her favourite St. Lauren's tea shop. The restaurant had a touch of Medieval and modern decor. The old paintings and little garden made the room come alive. Oh! How Janice loved this place so awfully. Whenever she needed to cool off her steam, this was her spot.

Janice irritatedly tapped her fingers on the table while staring into oblivion.

"Cut the chase girl!" Hannah snapped

Janice groaned and rolled her eyes.

"Look Hannah", she paused. "You're right, I can't stop thinking about him ever since he left without a trace."

Hannah chuckled, "I knew it!" Her face became solemn as she edged closer to the table, "You mean since then, you haven't heard from Drake?" She questioned searching Janice's hazel eyes.

Janice pulled her blonde hair backwards and heaved a long deep sigh.

"Not really..."

Hannah's eyebrows suspiciously rose an inch." Oh really? Come off it, would you?"

"Okay fine. I got his call out of the blue. Of course, I was astonished but I didn't answer it!" Janice blurted out, her cheeks burning red.

Hannah laughed, "why wouldn't ya?"

"I- I don't know." Janice stammered, lowering her eyes to the table. Her cake was untouched. She sipped her tea hastily and then let out a sigh. After a short pause, she continued. "Hannah, you don't understand, Drake is an asshole. He's selfish, egoist and a pervert! He certainly doesn't care about me."

To her surprise, she could feel the tears stinging in her eyes. She shut her eyes abruptly in a bid to stop the tears from flowing.

Hannah reached out and held her hands softly.

"Janice?"

She could bet that her heart skipped for a minute. Her eyes slowly opened at the same time Hannah pulled back her hands, her eyes widened with surprise.

His voice was sexily raspy and fainted at the same time as though she was still in a trance. She turned and let her eyes behold the wonderful creature before her; strands of his thick brown hair decorated his well-shaped face. His high cheekbones and goatee made him look even more handsome. His eyes... Oh yes, the very first thing that swept her off her feet; his eyes were blue like the ocean. Mere looking at them would make one want to drown in them, like drowning in the ocean. His muscular shoulders and broad chest are well sculptured. HE IS FUCKING ATTRACTIVE! everyone girl wants him to warm their bed.

It is as though the whole world stood dead in its tracks, hypnotized by his charms as he elegantly stepped into the restaurant. All eyes were on him.

The man she fell in love with without warning, the man that disappeared without a trace has now revealed himself. A whole year had passed and Drake hadn't changed a single bit! He's still as handsome as hell as always.

Her heart throbbed, her breasts swell, and her insides reawakened. Drake noticing the discomfort he has brought with him smiled wickedly.

"What a pleasant surprise! May I join you beautiful ladies for tea?"

And on that note, Janice knew she was about to make the same mistake again...
