The Beginning of the End

I swallowed deeply after seeing some backpacks and winter clothes that they had prepared for us. My mind was roaring everywhere, and I couldn't even sink in the information Guardian Leo was saying to me.

My chest was thudding so loud, and all I could think of was I wasn't ready. I didn't expect everything to happen this quick.

We rode horses to travel the cold land, and I couldn't stop glancing at Fenris every time I would think of backing up. I sighed deeply and tried gathering courage from I didn't even know where I could actually get one. Perhaps, the look of Fenris reassuring me was enough.

We arrived at the strange mountain ranges, and from there, we teleported to the icy plateau on top of the hill. My hands were trembling under my gloves. Fenris held me while we were looking around the place, examining the surroundings.

"I don't understand," I muttered. "I can't see anything but icy mountains. Where could be the location of Darkesta's territory?"
