After I ate dinner with Alexa, I stayed for a few minutes before my father connected with me and asked where I’d been. I told him I was out running in my wolf form around the territory. And as much as I didn’t want to leave Alexa, I had no choice since he wanted to speak with me before the night ended.

So I left my mate with a heavy heart after making sure that Krane and Holly had arrived to keep her company for the night. At this point, I was glad that Krane and Holly weren’t living in the pack house yet, so Dad had no idea that they were staying overnight with Alexa in the cottage. But I knew that sooner or later, he was bound to find out. But until I could, I didn’t want any other warriors watching Alexa.
