ALEXA. The rest of the night went by slowly. Although I was having fun with the Lunas and other females around us as we played cards and board games, I was missing Aeon’s presence. All the females were sitting around a round table, and we paired up as we played card games. I was sharing my card with Luna Andrea, and it was her turn to play, so I was just giving her advice, which made it easier for me to think about my next conversation with Aeon. I wanted to talk with him about my bloodline, and I was hoping he could work with Sebastian to reach my grandfather. If Alpha Aurelius claimed me as his granddaughter, then his pack would absolutely accept me as part of it. Then I didn’t have to be a rogue. Then maybe I would be eligible to stand beside Aeon as his mate. But the biggest question was, would Alpha Aurelius accept me as his granddaughter, and in case he did, would Alpha Argon accept me as his son’s mate knowing half of me belonged to the man that killed his Luna? "Luna Nadi
AEON. Four cars will be driving back to my territory tonight. Edward and Mark would be in the first car, followed by Lucas and Katarina. I would take the third one with Alexa, and Krane would be behind us. Eventually, after we reach the city outside my territory where Lucas will spend the night, Katarina will transfer to my car, and Alexa will be with Krane. I didn’t want to admit it, but I did need Katarina’s help at this point, and I was thankful that she and Lucas were willing to extend a hand. After a short talk and discussion with the rest of the Alphas, I said my goodbye and thanked them for having my back before I moved and stood beside my car. I watched Alexa and Katarina bid their goodbyes to the Lunas for a while before I motioned for Krane to come over. "Alpha…" Krane acknowledged me as he approached. "Krane, I delayed telling you this for a while now, but I think you deserve to know about Alexa. I already informed Edward, I just want you to know so that if worst comes
AEON. My arms wrapped around Alexa’s soft body, my hand on her nape, holding her in place as our lips crushed against each other. She was sitting on my lap, straddling me with her arms snaked around my neck, pressing her body closer, as if she didn’t want to let go. And I understood. I felt the same way. I didn’t want to let her go. But I have to. She bit my bottom lip harder, and soon my blood mixed with our kisses. She was moaning softly. Her hands slid from their grasp around my neck and reached for the collar of the shirt I was wearing, tugging at it as she pressed our bodies closer. I could feel the heat coming off our bodies, and I knew I had to stop and pull away now or I would totally lose control. "Baby, enough. You need to transfer to Krane’s car." She shook her head, resting her forehead against mine. "One night with you is not enough." "I know. It’s not enough for me either. I’ll try to sneak out later if I can. If not, I’ll see you in the morning." "Will you miss me
GAMMA SEBASTIAN. I went straight home after I talked with Alexa. My mom hasn’t reached my grandfather yet since he was out of their territory and, like everyone else, we seldom used our cellphones. So she was still waiting for her grandfather to arrive home, o she could call him on his home phone. And while we were waiting, I tried to convince her that keeping everything a secret would just blow it all in our faces. First, Alpha Riley would be the first one disappointed if we kept it from him. Although I understood my mother when she said she didn’t want to foil any plans that my grandfather would come up with if it was already revealed who Alexa was, she was sure that grandfather would rather keep Alexa’s identity until he saw her. I wasn’t in agreement, but I waited with her after making sure that Beta Dominic was taking charge of the pack house and the Lunas’ security. After hours of waiting, we finally got the call we were waiting for. Mom discussed everything with Pops - t
AEON. I opened the door to Katarina’s side and helped her out of the car before I grabbed our bags from the backseat. We walked together toward my father, who was standing alone in front of the pack house entryway. I was amazed at how well Katarina was holding herself. She told me she was nervous before we went out of the car, but I never heard any erratic beating of her heart. If anything, she was letting out a calm aura. "Alpha Argon," Katarina greeted my father the moment we stopped in front of him. "I wasn’t expecting you to be awake at this time. It is way past midnight." "And I wasn’t expecting you to arrive with Aeon." My father smiled warmly at her as he took her hand and kissed her knuckles. Katarina returned his smile before she replied. "Well, I wasn’t expecting you to cut short my time with Aeon. So when he suggested I join him tonight, I didn’t have to think twice." "My apologies. Nobody told me you’d be at the Silver Moon Pack as well." "Aeon told me he’d spend days
AEON. I was sitting comfortably on a single couch in Katarina’s room reading a book I saw on one of the shelves when I smelled my father’s scent. My eyes darted to Katarina. She was sitting in front of the vanity mirror and putting something on her face. I raised my hands up, waving at her, hoping she would see my reflection in the mirror, but she wasn’t paying any attention at all. In the end, I grabbed the throw pillow I was leaning on and threw it her way. It hit her back, making her gasp in surprise. "Ouch!" She grunted, turning her head to look at me, her eyes narrowing. I then pointed to the door and a realization hit her. "Don’t do that again, it’s not funny." She said while returning her attention back to the mirror. "Fine. I’ll stay away and just sit here." "You should go to your room and sleep." "I thought I’ll be sleeping here." "You think you can hit two nights in a row? Give me some rest." She rolled her eyes playfully and was trying to stifle her laughter. "Fin
AEON. Katarina hugged my father, and he opened the passenger door for her, letting her get to the seat beside me. I just cocked my head at him and drove off as soon as Katarina buckled up her seatbelt. I already had a gut feeling that Dad was up to something, and it was a good thing that Lucas was just twenty minutes away. I would just secure Katarina’s safety and talk with Lucas, and then I would head back to the territory. I decided it would be better if Lucas was the one to search for Alpha Aurelius since I had no idea if any of our men would spill me out to my father if I had them search for Alpha Aurelius. And then I have to tell my father about Alexa being my fated mate. I could no longer delay anything anymore. The longer Alexa was under the mercy of my father, the greater the risk of her being hurt or worse, dead. But how will I tell him? I had no idea, but I knew I had to do it soon. Krane was at the border when we passed by. He immediately went up to me while he sent a
ALPHA LUCAS. Aeon gave me the information I needed so I could start my search for Alpha Aurelius. If he was Alexa’s grandfather, then he was an Alpha two generations back. It was easy if he was here within the South, West, and East areas of the country - then my father would surely be aware of them. But Aeon said Alexa came from the North, and that was why she was a winter wolf. Unfortunately, the Packs of the North were a separate entity. They were not governed by the Council, thus my father had no power over their jurisdiction and it would be harder to find him. But I would still give it a shot and start with my father. Maybe he knew something. Aeon left after thirty minutes, and I didn’t waste any more time. After securing the door, my feet led me to the bedroom of the suite and I found my mate sitting in one of the Victorian chairs around. Her fingers were trailing the curving lines and ornate details of the chair while she was busy munching the truffles that I left open by th
