I left the hotel in a better mood than when I came in. Lucas agreed to help search for Alexa’s grandfather, and we could start from there. But like what he mentioned, it might be harder if his pack were part of the North since the Council does not have jurisdiction over it. But it was still worth a try.

I wasn’t sure what I wanted from her grandfather. The last thing I wanted was for Alexa to be taken away from me, but it was the only option left, I would not give it a second thought anymore, just to keep her safe.

I took Krane’s phone from my back pocket before I slid inside my car. I sent Holly an I love you before I went inside the hotel and got the same response back, so my heart was at ease.

I scanned his phonebook hoping he had a phone number from any of the Alphas I was with the other day and was relieved when I saw Riley’s office number. I pressed his name as I maneuvered the car out of the parking lot, and after waiting for a long time, the fucker finally picked up h
