ALEXA.

My legs swayed back and forth as I sat on the balcony railings on the third floor, facing the wide packhouse grounds below and the view far ahead.

The wind blew against my skin, its cold air enveloping my whole body as the moon lit me wonderfully, cascading its glorious light on me. I felt like a goddess, a queen, sitting on her throne, which was this beautiful railing that has been my favorite spot for the last few days now.

Aeon was still in a night meeting at his office with the Alpha Circle. They wanted to keep saying they were having meetings, but the Lunas knew they were just spending time teasing and annoying each other at least once a week. Not that I was complaining. In fact, I was happy he was able to reconnect with them. It made the loss of Argon easier for him with his friends around him.

As for me, it has been months since my father died at the hands of my mate. Did I have any regrets? No.

Although his death wouldn’t change anything in the past, with him gone
