Seconds turned into hours, and soon, the launch was already weeks away. Andrea could notice how Gryphon was rarely going home, only to shove himself against her in the morning when he did. Unlike the last few days of their honeymoon, they barely slept together—not to mention be in the same bed. On days that Gryphon refused to leave the house, he would stick to the bed all day.

The soft lock of the study clicked as Andrea opened the door with a twist. She was supposed to let the cleaning robot vacuum the floor, while she dusted the surface. However, what she saw on the couch was a sleeping Gryphon. He had his arm on his eyes, forcing himself to rest while the lights were on. It’s also noticeable how the computer played its screen saver as if it was unattended for a while now.
