Luca’s POV

I had headed to the club tonight, although knowing it was dangerous, more dangerous than what usually goes down in my clubs back in Italy – but I hadn’t expected a fight as heated as that to break lose. Thanks to Sofia who had alerted me when she had done.

I tugged her against me and stroked her hair, and then I thumbed her cheek after a moment. She was blinking up at me, and even though she had said she was okay na m st the club, I knew she wasn’t, I could feel just how fast her heart was still racing right now.

“How did you notice the gun being pointed at the table we were situated at?” I asked her after a moment.
