Chapter # 1

“My liege.” A voice called their leader, Zadicus Snyder, consumed by dark powers, lost in his gloomy memories with a dead expression.

“Hmm?” He hummed, elbow resting on the armrest of his throne, cheek on his fist, eyes closed to gain some relaxation but to no avail.

“What do you want now?” He asked coldly, rolling his eyes off.

In this loneliness her memories chase him desperately.

“For how long do you intend to remember an unfaithful?” Avin asked, narrowing his eyes but sighing he leaned back on this throne of blood.

“Until I enslave her in my domain.” He replied, staring down at his hands with fire burning in his eyes.

“That day is chasing quickly.” Avin said, reassuring his Lord.

“Upon your orders, We have burned down the Heaven’s Tower and kept Lord Chester as hostage.” He informed him which brought an evil smirk on his lips.

“Great.” Humming, he could feel the electrification of chasing his dark desire, he wanted to see the extent he is willing to reach for one prisoner.

Lord Chester was among the twelve Kings of land Fier.

“Let’s negotiate with our Lord.”  His commanding tone came, rising high and mighty from the position he gained by spilling endless blood.

"My Liege, you don't have to vex about a trivial matter, we can settle it, Please don’t bother." He suggested but the sound of his heels clicking against the floor stopped, glancing at Avin with a baleful gaze.

"Are you telling me what to do?"

His eyes widened for a second, "I would never dare." He responded immediately.

"Good. Besides, it's more amusing to embed fear yourself than assigning someone." He muttered under his breath, rolling his light green eyes.

“All this effort to enter that land.” His voice came out questioningly.

“Why? Let that place burn along those memories.” Avin tried to convince his Master to stop running after revenge but stopping he turned to him outrageously,

“I could burn everything, Avin but not her. I could forget everything but not her and she will pay. So, don’t you fucking dare to mention it again.”

Growling, he enunciated his intentions, ready to pay everything for his vengeance.

“I-I apologize, My Liege.” He stammered, lowering his head.

Scoffing, He continued his walk, wearing his gloves, pushing his raven hairs back. In the robe befitting for King, his leather shoes made a heavy sound asserting his dominance as he went to their dungeon where the sound of screams echoed.

But everything stopped when Zadicus entered the dungeon where Chester’s body was tied to the pole, hanging with blood dripping on the ground.

“Hello, Chester.” Using his most charming tone, he took a seat right in front of him.

“I hope my hospitality was up to your par.” Smirking, he leaned back, resting his one leg over the other, wiping his amusement.

“Now. I want to know what you were doing among my preys. What do you want from me?” Zadicus demanded, knowing approaching him is not less than a call to demise.

“Your.. help..” His bruised form barely spoke.

"I see. Okay. You have ten seconds to impress me or else you will have the honor to die and lose your country by my hands."

He showed his non-existent generosity, standing up, moving his hand in the air in a snapping posture as with one snap, he could end his life, giving him one chance.

"Now." He ordered dominantly and coughing up blood, Chester began to say hurriedly.

"I need your help in.. attacking.. Aziel. We form a fake alliance and ambush them.. You wanted to ruin them.. This is your chance.. opportunity to invade their land after imposing Prince Jazeel."

"-..Nine. Ten." He said and snapped his fingers, he gasped trembling in dread but Zadicus let out a dark chuckle, lifting his chin.

"Ah.. I like your courage to come to me yourself..." He whispered enticingly, straightening his back.

"Hmm, Pull him down. Treat his wounds.” He ordered.

“Yes, My Liege.” Avin nodded and cast a spell to heal his wounds and gave him water to speak properly. “T-Thank you.” He stuttered, regaining his senses gradually.

“Good. Now, Continue. Why do you want to do it?" He asked, walking around the dusty prison.

"Isn't it obvious? I want that country to be destroyed. It's too powerful, we must end it before it rules over us. I am here for my country." He paused for a moment, swallowing hard,

"We all know alone we cannot do anything and my only option is you, My Liege, you are our only hope to end this ordeal." He said, trembling in fear after watching him indulging in his fright, dark aura not leaving him.

“I might have helped you, your desperation is savory but I cannot enter their land. I am exiled from there and their barriers are too powerful, shutting me out from their boundaries." He shrugged but how can he miss his chance?

"But, If you deactivate them and ensure my entrance, I shall spare some cognition to your plea." He offered, dying to find a way to enter Aziel and show them the terror he faced.

"Don't worry, My Lord, we will make sure to vanish the barrier and let you come." He said, reassuring him causing a devilish smirk to creep upon his face,

"Good." He praised, showing how thrilled he was to re-enter that country again and moreover see her only to raze their lives the same way they ruined his.

"And what is my gain?" He asked, standing in front of him.

"What do you desire, My Lord? I know this unworthy man cannot do much for you but I will try my best." he said, growing desperate at this point.

"Her.” He enunciated seriously. "I want her enslaved in my domain, live where I do, trapped with me." Speaking of his darkest desire, he clenched his hand, "I want her."

“Who? Name her, My Liege and I will present her before you no matter what it takes.” He said, determined to do whatever it takes to which he snarled.

“I want Persephone Sage.”
