CHAPTER 02

Alpha Riley

The whole mansion felt like an isolation room. Lights cannot pass through the thick walls and the design was built in accordance with the idea of just us. The Tri-Alpha are known to be ruthless and witty when it comes to every transaction. Brutal concept, they say. For the mansion looks like hell for everyone who tried to get inside without words from us. But that’s not the most part of this mansion, there is a hidden room, rooms that are only for us to know and use.

Quietness fills my ears until it is rounded up and reaches over my head. My mind felt the quietness and isolation, that it became numb from everything. It’s a good thing to numb my thought for it consists of a chaotic battle with the devil. The thing is, I’ve been thinking about her.

Her sultry voice that makes me awake in the middle of the night and her soft lips…those lips that I only tasted for once but felt like something. Something that I shouldn’t know.

I touch my lips and once again felt the electrifying bolt of emotion from our encounter. My mind shook my thoughts away, for it only causes my eyes to become red, meaning that the emotion inside of me is bottling up and exploding.

“It’s weird seeing you touching your lips as if you miss someone else lips.”

That fucking rhyme but shit. My soul almost jolts out of my body when I heard that deep voice.

Another Shit.

Alpha King’s body is covered with dark sticky blood and I wanted to shut my mind when I saw his face widely smirking despite… his circumstance?

It’s not like I am fucking afraid or hate blood. Heck, I love blood when it’s spurting out of my victims’ bodies but this motherfucker is widely grinning to himself as if the blood didn’t bother him that much.

Drops of blood cascaded from his naked chest up until his abdomen. He looked so smug as he watched me cringe at him. But what cringe me more is the fact that despite the blood he felt so arrogant sitting on the couch. Totally beside me.

The blood is too strong and intoxicating. It smells like someone has been butchered in the most crucial way. There is a rule for Alpha King. It’s better to kill yourself if you don’t want him to do it for you. The twist? He doesn’t only kill the body, he kills up until the soul of each person.

He lit his cigarette, and he’s kind enough to throw me the pack of it. Without words, I also lit the cigarette. It’s a good thing, it's only a cigarette. If Alpha Zach is here, he will surely lit every piece in this pack and alternately smoke on it like his fucking life depends on it.

My gaze cannot help but wander again to this man and realize that the rumors are real. He is nothing but the personification of darkness. He loves blood, that’s why he’s the executioner. He tortures our victims until their soul doesn’t have a choice but to leave the mangled body.

I doubt him at first. He seems too quiet and demeaning. While Alpha Zach and I are both have this intention to make the world bow down on our knees, he didn’t seem to display the same idea. But after some years, I was wrong.

He’s darker than us.

One look in the eyes will not tell you his darkness. For his darkness will seeps into every inch of your body.

“Tell me about it,” he commanded, and I simply nodded to gather myself from those collective thoughts that I had earlier. He wanted to tell me about what I found. Every day, I’ve been collecting words to bring down those alphas who assume that they have power over us.

Poor creature.

I’ve been in the black market to see some people; they are our key to knowing some weaknesses that we needed to establish our plan. And that’s where I’ve met that woman who made me a fucked up just by one kiss. I can still remember her soft lips and sultry voice.

He laughed sarcastically, and I realized that I’d been spacing out.

“Was it good?” he uttered with a smirk.

Fucker.

“Shut up,” I roared because there is no way that I will be going to admit that thing. Alpha King only shrugged his shoulder before picking a pillow and throwing it at the other Alpha who seems to enjoy sleeping.

Of course, he was busy last night burning bodies. I doubt he still has the energy to join us for our meeting if he just burned a whole pack who refuse to bow before our throne.

Alpha Zach only groans and I chuckle when instead of getting up, he hugged the pillow and muttered a curse to Alpha King.

“He’s tired,” I mocked Alpha Zach. “The whole pack of evane’ was burned by him yesternight. I doubt he will still have the energy to patch up the bodies in our basement,” I muttered and simply smirked when I saw him quickly standing up.

Magic word. Patch up bodies.

Whenever he heard about those things, the excitement will always be visible in his eyes as if fixing and dumping bodies into hell is his lifeline.

He growls. “ I’ll do it,” he eagerly said and walked away through the hallways where the bodies were located. He knows what he is about to do.

“Take a bath, will you?” I asked Alpha King because I’m bothered about his fetish for blood. He only wickedly smiles and rose from the couch.

I grimace when the couch was full of blood from his victims. I thought he will leave me all along, but he turned around and looked at me.

His dark green amber eyes are too deep to know what he’s been thinking. Too deep to know what is going inside of his evil mind.

I never wanted this look of him because the moment that the side of his lips twitched into a lopsided grin, I know that I’d been warned.

“Not yet, Alpha Riley. We are obliged to raise our kingdom in the highest form of everything, and woman makes us weak. Women only make you doubt your ability. I don’t care if she’s your mate, or she made your heart race, just don’t let a woman in your life until everything is established. Remember the oath.”

I chuckle and nodded. Who will forget the oath?

“Yeah, fuck off,” I muttered before seeing him disappear into his room.

Alpha King is right. Women should not have a place in my life for they are only a hindrance to what we ought to achieve.

Our oath told us one thing, let the kingdom fall before your knees----always and forever. We are ought to conquer, to lead, and to be strong.

I’ve made up my mind, I needed to kill that woman for the sake of my mind.
