It's happening again

After the meeting, Stacy went to Jason's office to drop off the minutes of the meeting.

"Hello? She greeted while Infront of the door but without receiving any response. She opened the door and walked in.

No one was seen in the office, she quietly walked to the table to drop off the documents. Dropping the file, Jason came out of a semi-door and stopped at the sight of Stacy. Stacy stiffened and immediately dropped the file. Good day sir" she shivered at his sight

Jason stood there without a word, he sat down and picked up the file

"And this must be?" He arched his brow "The minutes of today's meeting" she mumbled inaudibly.

Jason observed how nervous she was and chuckled inwardly. "Ms!" He called out lowly, causing Stacy to look up and directly at him

"Huh? Her eyes widened

"Is anything wrong? Why are you acting like someone suffering from a cold? Or do I look scary?" Jason asked with his hand massaging his chin

"No sir, forgive my manners." Her voice trembled

"Better and be audible while you speak, I don't want to strain my ears again." He scoffed and flipped through the pages.

"Next time, summarise with these headings and not this" he said pointing at the script.

"Ok, sir" she spoke with all seriousness this time. Standing upright.

"Good, now go" he ordered and she left abruptly.

"Now, he's Mr grumpy again, asking why I'm sick or something when he knows that he's actually the problem, a criminal in form of a good-looking freaking CEO. Urgh!" She scoffed going towards her office. She opened her laptop and continued a pending work.

She couldn't leave earlier because of much work and it was getting darker. She thought everyone left because she could remember how Bethany left her office some hours ago.

She cursed under her breath and packed some necessary items as she was planning to go home.

"I almost forgot I lost my phone to those criminals. Shouldn't I report those people to the police?" She thought out loud.

"Don't you dare?" A voice echoed in the room. She trembled and turned the voice. Her hands-on desk, breathing heavily and bent, her legs slightly away from the desk parted.

Seeing Jason, she stood upright. Wishing he never saw her frightened state again.

"And what are you doing here?" She asked with all seriousness. Adjusting her position.

"For your information, I'm still the CEO and you have to be polite when you speak to me. Make use of your honorifics here"

"Whatever" she scoffed.

"If you want to be safe, Ms, zip your lips and mind your business." He retorted and left with his hands in his pocket.

"Jerk!" She mouthed inaudibly.

"What?" He turned and arched his brow at her, not after shooting her some glare.

"Nothing" she continued with her packing.

He gasped and moved out of her office, Stacy looked up and saw his retracting figure.

When she was done with work, she boarded a bus and got home. She tiredly refreshed herself and made dinner.

"Good heavens! Why me?" She complained and drifted off to sleep.

---------------

Ever since her phone was stolen, the only person she does contact with was her best friend, Bethany. Bethany has always wanted to know what happened that night but Stacy had always avoided the story, she didn't want to put her friend in trouble and she sure knows Bethany ain't happy with her. Well, for the records, seems like Bethany had forgotten about that and they are good now.

For Stacy's part, she couldn't seem to forget about everything that happened that night, how she was kidnapped and nearly raped, but...miraculously saved by a masked knight in shining armour.

Wasn't that shining, it was just a mere pair of black clothes but let's leave Stacy to her imagination.

He has this personality, Nice, mean and grumpy at the same time. "What was that?" She thought.

Now she works in the dreaded criminal's office as his secretary. They only speak when it's work-related, it's as if nothing happened. The guy is sure a good actor, he really keeps his work and personal life or business apart. That's cool of him.

Stacy is a workaholic too, she never jokes with her work that's why she earns the badge of the best employee almost every end of the year.

Today at the office, she didn't keep track of the time and to her greatest surprise, it was damn evening already. Bethany got tired of waiting for her and headed home because she received an urgent call which made her run on her heels.

"Bye! Stacy" she yelled and zoomed off.

It was 9:15 pm and she freaked out. She packed her properties in a jiffy.

"Jeez, this phone issue is slightly becoming a problem. I mustn't wait till I get home to receive or put across a call" she muttered and headed to a phone store after leaving the office.

Amazing brands were shown in the cases. She selected a phone and went to the counter to pay.

A young miss over the counter sent a smile her way obviously waiting for her to place whatever she had picked. Stacy placed the phone and paid while turning to leave. She saw a man who had a face cap on, a face mask, a black hoodie and trousers leave in a rush. She stiffened because it seemed like the man stood out there waiting for her to come out or what.

"Ma'am! Is anything the problem? The young miss asked Stacy. Who turned immediately and moved her head negatively with a fake smile

"Bye," she waved and took slow steps towards the door.

Getting to the door, she slowly opened and closed it, taking scary steps. She started taking quick paces, trying to move away from the area.

Approaching a lonely Hallway, she could sense the presence of a person following her, but she wasn't so brave to turn. The footsteps from afar increased and she had no option but to start running, she was whimpering and flashes of what happened "that night" came to her.

She started shivering, muttering "No" from afar. "This can't be happening again, I'm so stupid why didn't I leave early like others?" She muttered inaudibly. She made to turn while some arm grabbed her, pinning her to the wall with her mouth closed with the person's palm.
