“You’re going to have to leave, Dad,” Candace says. “I want to get dressed.”

“What?” he rumbles. “Oh yeah. Fine.”

Candace watches, smiling a little, when Caleb tries to get out of the bed and grab a towel without showing off his arousal. She isn’t sure whether it is her that is having this effect on her father or if it is just his lack of sex. She knows her mother doesn’t put out anymore. When night falls and before bed, Candace’s mother, Rita, says she feels she is coming down with something.
